Nature takes over - abandoned farm in Iceland

in Urban Exploration4 years ago (edited)

In Iceland, geothermal activity often causes hot springs to appear - warm water that just comes out of the ground. Here the warm water ruined the greenhouses, so the owner took off. Last time I saw this place, bulldozers were already levelling the place, so what you see here, exists no more:

The water coming out of these pipes was more than 40 degrees Celsius.

There was steam coming out of the ground in many places, giving the landscape an alien feel:

The water here was so hot, you could easily burn your hand. This is probably what caused this place to be left behind:

Mõtle, kui Eestis oleksid geisrid... 🙈🙊

Mõnna oleks küll, eriti kui kütte eest ei peaks põhimõtteliselt maksma, kuna maa on soe :D

I like the photos. Looks like Fallout.

Awesome!
Love that Urbex...
First shots with landscape are great as well...
