I bought some gloves specifically for UX but haven't used them once. That's because I keep forgetting to stick them in the car. I could have used them in getting up that metal slope. That was extremely tricky.
I have found beer glasses like that at more than one place, it's surprising they survive all this time.
I would have expected you to have a kit bag, but then that might look like you were equipped for burglary if you got stopped :)

You have to be careful as some things could be construed as 'burglary gear'. Crowbars are out of the question but I do carry a ladder in the back of the car for those open windows out of reach.
