The last remaining section of a 700,000 square foot factory has been a favorite haunt of mine since 2017. It was part of the Canadian Studebaker car factory which went under in the 1960s, and then purchased by Otis Elevators. Who used the building until the late 1980s, after that the massive building sat vacant and abandoned. Until a developer purchased the land and demolished most of the factory in 2001. Keeping this section to restore and keep as part of a new industrial/commercial area. An area that still is only in early development, leaving this building to the elements and homeless. In the last 6 years I have watched it deteriorate to the point of collapse. I doubt they will even be able to do anything with it! The floors are crumbling, walls have given way and water leaks through everything.
I was very happy to document it again (haven't been able to much because of homeless encampments inside) and have some fun with light painting!
