Hello Hive and Hive Open Mic family, I hope you are all well and that the weekend is full of joy with your loved ones. I thought I wasn't going to be able to post because yesterday and today have been very hectic days, but here I am again to rock this stage that I love so much.
To get into the subject today I will talk about 2 topics that can be very controversial: politics and religion. The world has gone through many changes, we have seen entire nations have a setback with their governments, becoming neo-dictatorships and it is very sad how this has led countries to live in hunger, corruption, inequality and freedom of expression in danger. All these people who claim to “govern” fill their mouths with promises and do not fulfill them, they believe they are messiahs and they are just mere mortals, they lie to us at all times with cheap speeches and they look at us like assholes all the time.
"Spiritual leaders” are not far behind; they are charlatans and profit from the needs of their parishioners, they say they ‘guide’ when in reality they lead us to hell and to the loss of values, they say they love their neighbor when they really take advantage of him and believe they are children of God while they profane the word of the creator. The delicate part of this subject is that those who lead churches, temples, monasteries, are ten times more sinful than the common people and their acts go unpunished before the eyes of “justice”, which leads us to ask ourselves: Who is worthy of being the highest authority of a religion?... this can be something of much debate and controversy.
I will not probe further, I will let each of you bring out your answer from objectivity and ponder it within yourselves... Today I bring you a song that brings it all together by criticizing those who are not worthy and think they are superior to God and Jesus himself, from their words to their actions. Eat The Elefant is the 4th studio album by the progressive rock band A Perfect Circle released in 2018 and the song I'm going to perform for you is called “Talk Talk”.
For this cover I worked with 3 voices and several effects to achieve a surround sound; I recognize that it is not the best, but I put a lot of heart to make it sound as good as possible since I was against the clock. Hola familia de Hive y del Hive Open Mic, espero que todos se encuentren bien y que el fin de semana esté lleno de muchas alegrías con sus seres amados. Pensé que no iba a poder publicar porque ayer y hoy han sido días de mucho agite, pero aquí estoy nuevamente para rockear con furia esta tarima que tanto amo.
Para entrar en materia hoy hablaré de 2 tópicos que pueden ser muy polémicos: política y religión. El mundo ha atravesado muchos cambios, hemos visto naciones enteras tener un revés con sus gobiernos, convirtiéndose en neo-dictaduras y es muy triste como esto ha llevado a los países a vivir en el hambre, la corrupción, la desigualdad y en una libertad de expresión en peligro. Todos estos que dicen "gobernar" se llenan la boca de promesas y no cumplen, se creen los mesías y son solo simples mortales, nos mienten a todo momento con discursos baratos y nos ven caras de imbéciles todo el tiempo.
Los "líderes espirituales" no se quedan atrás; son unos charlatanes y se lucran con las necesidades de sus feligreses, dicen "guiar" cuando en realidad nos dirigen al infierno y a la pérdida de valores, dicen amar al prójimo cuando realmente se aprovechan de él y se creen hijos de Dios mientras profanan la palabra del creador. Lo delicado de este tema, es que quienes lideran las iglesias, los templos, los monasterios, son diez veces más pecadores que alguien del común y sus actos quedan impunes ante los ojos de la "justicia", lo que nos lleva a preguntarnos: ¿Quién es digno de ser la máxima autoridad de una religión?... esto puede ser algo de mucho debate y controversia.
No indagaré más, dejaré que cada uno de ustedes saque a relucir su respuesta desde la objetividad y la medite en su interior... Hoy les traigo una canción que une todo esto haciendo una crítica a aquellos que no son dignos y piensan que son superiores a Dios y al mismo Jesús desde su verbo hasta sus acciones. Eat The Elefant es el 4to disco de estudio de la banda de rock progresivo A Perfect Circle lanzado en 2018 y la canción que les voy a interpretar se llama "Talk Talk".
Para este cover trabajé a 3 voces y con varios efectos para lograr un sonido envolvente; reconozco que no es lo mejor, pero le puse mucho corazón para que sonara lo mejor posible ya que estuve a contrarreloj.
