I have known this song for a very long time, and it makes lots of sense to me.
It is a song of renewed hope. Jesus saved us from our sin, so it is best for us not to go back to our old way of life. He saved, renewed, and gave us hope for tomorrow.Many things can make a man want to go back to his old ways of doing things, but as we look unto Jesus, we see more reasons to stand firm in him.
