What made 2024 stood out for us as an organisation
Yeah, we must say that the year has been really demanding but we are glad for productivity. A lot of effort was put into making Ezabay a reality. What made this year stood out for us is the fact that the Ezabay has been a dream in the womb since 2021 but 2024 eventually delivered it. We have been running a p2p Whatsap platform since February 2021. We are glad for what we have been able to achieve this year.
Why we chose the name Ezabay
The initial name we chose for our exchange was PRODOX but we renamed due to domain availability issue because prodox.com was not available and we had to pick another name.
What does Ezabay mean?
Ezabay was inspired by our motivation to help and secure our users asset and data. Ezabay is a combination of two words: EZA + BAY.
EZA speaks of our desire to help
BAY points to our exchange as a marketplace/community
Ezabay therefore is a safe place of exchange. We are a safe market place.
What you should look forward to on Ezabay in 2025?
As an organisation, we have been putting together innovations to incentivise our users beyond referral bonus. Users will be rewarded with points as they use our platform. At some point we will also be rewarding users with ecency points, hive and hbd for referring other users to Ezabay. We will collate our record to see how many users you have referred and we will reward users with highest referrals with ecency points, hive or Hbd.
We are going to make our platform much more of a community than a crypto exchange. We will be adding some games and activities that help our users engage in mental growth and personal human development. We will be rewarding users with points so that they can qualify to play games on our platform. For the game play, there will be reward when a user wins.
We will also enable a feature for users to be able to make transfer of fiat to other users at zero(0) fee within Ezabay.
Sending and receiving of bitcoin to Ezabay will be available in some weeks. Every user will have their own wallet address and can send out or receive bitcoin.
Swapping hive/Hbd to bitcoin will also be made possible on Ezabay. So if you have bitcoin in any wallet or exchange, you will be able to send to Ezabay and swap to hive or Hbd and vice versa.
Currencies for other countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Cuba etc will be added to Ezabay.
Users will be able to connect their hive account to Ezabay through keychain. This will make it possible to perform certain operations like posting, upvoting and more on Ezabay.
You will be able to buy hive or Hbd to any hive account directly by specifying the username while buying.
You will also be able to sell hive or Hbd directly from your hive account without first transferring to Ezabay, all you need to do is connect with keychain.

Onboarding businesses
In January 2025, we will be holding a meeting with some business people and entrepreneurs where we will explain in details about #spendHbd and distriator. We will show them practically all the processes involved in receiving Hbd payment, then we will show the businesses how to convert their payment to local currency using Ezabay. We haven't decided the date for this yet, once we decide the date, we will publicly announce and share a flyer.
