MY INTRODUCTION TO HIVE AND SPENDHBD COMMUNITY

Hi friends,I am completely overwhelmed and privileged to be among these dynamic team.

I am ugochukwu Chinazor Happiness.I am a native of Imo state, precisely Arondizuogu town,Okigwe local government area, Nigeria. Arondizuogu is known for its culture and Festivals which includes the Ikeji festivals(celebration of new yam and igbo culture)and secondly the Arondizuogu Day(this annual day celebrates achievement, review challenges and foster patriotism in the community).I was born and brought up in Lagos state,which is a megacity in the south western Nigeria and the most populated urban area in Africa.I have six brothers and myself.I am the only daughter of my parents and the last born as well.One of my brother died at a very tender age,way back before i was even born and that made us five boys and a girl.subsequently,years later,my father was poisoned and eventually he died.After the burial ceremony at the village,my mother decided to remain there to recollect her calm and sanity,the serenity of nature and comfort from God really helped,while she waited for the resurrection to life again in future.

Sometimes I wonder why my parents gave birth to that much children, I guess in the olden days more children meant status and wealth, including power and influence in the community plus the fact that they were actually looking for a female child ( that's me).
After I lost my father to the tragedy of life.At this particular time,the hard reality of life zoomed in on us.I and my brothers had to adjust to the fact that the bread winner ( my father) and my motivator and helper( my mother) is no more available.( father is dead and mother is now permanently in the village).I was still in the secondary school,so my brothers took up various jobs inorder to support me in school and my mother who is now in the village.

life was not easy for me especially growing up among five boys without my mother's guide. Unconsciously I started acting like a boy,I put on my brother's clothes, these included (trousers and shirts) their shoes,
I learnt to cook by myself,I made mistakes and learnt to correct them alone,I even started walking like a boy.During school activities and outdoor games, while my female classmates chose soft games,i would rather play football or long tennis,i kept more of male friends and less female ,one interesting thing i learnt from my brothers is to cut their hair, I can actually barb amazing style and carve nicely.Apart from being a tom- boy,I felt male friends bring positive energy,they don't keep malice,they eat together,they fight and play immediately,(I mean real men,not girlish men)although I have few female friends that are free spirited and have thesame aspirations as i do and I am a very happy person,i love peaceful environment and genuine laughter.I dislike bad vibes or negative energy.I see the good in everyone even when there's a reason to not to.

Actually my tom boy behaviour got me safe through school,i could recall when i got attacked by twin brothers in school,I was sitting in a quiet class waiting for my male friends,they taught because i was alone,they could take me down,one of the brothers pushed my head to see my reaction,the other tore my drawings and broke my pencil,I stood up and bounced on them,it took a miracle for them to manage to escape my grip and fled immediately. Before the school year was over,I and the twin brothers became very good friends.

As things got more difficult over the years,I was forced by my Brothers to go and live with my aunt, because they are hardly around. I was compelled to sell plantain,as many I was able to sell will determine the quantity of food i will get.Most times i slept hungry.I was very thin. l felt very lonely and sad.It was so bad that I had to take permission before I could even drink water, otherwise I would be flogged mercilessly.I was always sick,I go to sell plantain even when I am not feeling well and when it is raining season.

Luckily for me,one of my brother came to visit and saw that I was not looking well,He stylishly cooked up an excuse and took me to live with him,but my happiness did not last,my brother was married and he is hardly around, the same harsh treatment was given to me by his wife,this time around I was already in the University studying business Administration and Management.luckily,my school was close to my brother's house,so I don't have to live in the hostel,so I had to endure her treatment.countless times,I slept on the corridor,other times under the stairs, because I was not back before five o'clock in the evening,which was not possible because,I teach primary school children in the evening to support myself.

Today,I am a graduate.All the negative energies I experienced while growing up are with the intentions of pulling me down but surprisingly I got polished,kinder,happier, lovable and accommodating.

I love meeting people, singing, watching movies and traveling.Actually putting smiles on people faces gives me a sense of belonging and inner peace and joy.
I love being around people that are very inspiring and all round positive. I so much love nature because of the serenity it brings,nature reminds me of my personality,it helps me to reflect and meditate and revigorate my aspirations.

I got to know about HIVE through a friend who is like a sister to me @kachy2022 and @beauty197 signed me up and explained how HIVE can benefit me and i was privileged to participate in the shopping experience,it was really pleasurable and fun.l never knew such thing existed.

I am really grateful Kachy for this unique opportunity.I promise to do my best and not take it for granted,adhere to the platform rules and learn new strategies to grow with these dynamic team.
