Lovely experience at Lagos evening group meet-up

Hello friends, I'm glad to announce that @Devillahotbar is now listed and this is the first listed bar in Lagos to relax and have meaningful discussions relating to #hive, #spendhbd workshops and encouraging other hivers on their effort so far in being consistent and complying to the rules of the platform.

We were supposed to have a group shopping today at one of the listed store but when my local guide @beauty197 asked on our WhatsApp channel where we would like to shop, many said they wanted to have a nice time so they wanted a bar. My local guide decided to make a poll asking the question and those in support should vote. Many voted to go to a bar and I just went with the majority. We agreed to meet up by 4PM at pako bustop so we would go together as a group, thereby creating more awareness.

Before we got to devillahotbar, a lot of things transpired. We got suggestions from the group to check out a nice bar around Pako bus stop, we decided to go check out the place and have discussions with the bar owner. But on getting there, the place wasn't what we wanted, it wasn't organized and it's too dark to get lovely pictures that is needed for our post. We really wanted an open space and wouldn't settle for less.

We left there, contacted other hivers and told them about change of plans. We also checked another place, it was nice really beautiful and cool but not an open space. We also left there and continued to search for what we really wanted.

AT DEVILLAHOTBAR

Finally, we got what we wanted @Devillahotbar. When we got there, we all agreed that the place was a good spot and exactly what we were looking for. My trusted local guide @beauty197 went to meet the manager of the bar and they discussed, she explained our purpose for coming, why we needed to list his bar and benefits he would achieve from the listing in the long run.

Being a businessman, the manager didn't delay, he gave a go ahead as he was interested in any profitable business. The listing was done immediately and in few minutes the store was listed and ready for us to shop. We were all very happy for the achievement. To be sure that the wallet and everything was done properly, my local guide did a transaction first to test the efficiency of the wallet before we proceeded with our own transactions.

The bar has variety of drinks, they have pepper soup, goat meat, barbecue sauce with chicken, catfish and chips and a whole lots.

We had a good time together at devillahotbar, it's a beautiful place and a good place to hangout with friends. It's also perfect for hosting workshops and meetings.

The time spent together today helped newbies to ask questions where they are facing difficulties, a lot of questions was asked like about what tags to use for each post, how to claim their money into their wallet, how to create post in different communities and many more questions.

It was a discussion that everyone participated in, helping out in their own and helping new users get more acquainted with the platform. Everyone who made out time to participate in the group meetup benefited today because they learnt new ways of doing things better and differently.

The Spendhbd project is one unique workshop that have united people from different parts of Nigeria, we are happy to meet together like this once in a while for discussion that would help those who are still struggling with being consistent on hive and those who face difficulties purchasing with hive dollars, generating their QR code and claiming their discounts.

After the discussion, we ordered for our drinks and meat and made payments with hive dollars and also claimed our discount through #distriator app. We enjoyed our meat and drinks and took lots of pictures before and after eating.

It was really an amazing experience today and I'm glad I didn't miss out from today's meetup. I'm sure others that participated in today's hangout also feel same way.

All six of us had fun today and we enjoyed our order too. We will definitely be back but this time for marketing, to create awareness for Spendhbd and help frequent customers get registered so they can benefit from the discount as well.
