The Unforgettable Experience At Tiger Bar! - ShoKiN Day 8!

Weekends are a great time for friends and family members to spend enjoyable moments together. So it happened that Saturday, December 14th, 2024, I and some friends, @bakinba, @empressjay, @ngobaby, @bummblebee, @wisdomike, @dinaks44, @mayorboo, @saraliko and the captain himself, @fokusnow, @ijebest, @figgyacademy101, @positivity49, @empressjay and @iamchimary visited one of the newly listed businesses in my city, Tiger Bar, for our social spending event called, ShoKiN, and it was day 8!

It was fun as fun can be, lol.

When it comes to ShoKiN, there's never a dull moment 😂. There's always great company, the cracking of jokes and
shared laughter, sharing of ideas on how to create quality contents, engage with other creators and grow on the Blockchain. And then there's the main focus of the SpendHbd and ShoKiN, which is using HBD for transactions, promoting decentralized payments.

The event was scheduled for 12:00noon and I arrived some minutes past 12. Upon entering, the security personnel refused me from going inside, claiming that they are yet to open for the day. Despite my explanation that we were duly authorized by the management to meet up there, and that some friends were already seated inside, he wouldn't hear any of it and even threatened to escort me out, citing unawareness of the meet up.

The unexpected confrontation exacerbated my frustration, compounded by my phone's sudden shutdown and inability to turn on despite it being charged at 80%. All attempts to turn it so I can notify others of my arrival remained futile.
Fortunately one of the friends spotted me and alerted the manager, who intervened and resolved the issue, ensuring my comfort. Quite relieving!

As I got in, I was happy to see friends already seated, enjoying the beautiful natural scenery of Tiger Bar and chatting away happily in anticipation of the moment to "SpendHBD", lol. I joined in immediately.

Soon after we settled down for the business, or rather fun of the day, lol. Different varieties of foods - white rice with pepper soup, bitterleaf soup with swallow and drinks were ordered. The manger, a fine gentleman took the orders himself and made sure everyone was well attended to. That's a plus for him. 👍

Unfortunately I couldn't have anything as my phone stubbornly refused powering on thereby hindering my ability from accessing essential functions and transactions. You know, the ideas is to pay with HBD, and then claim discount. Since my phone was acting up, there was no way to complete the transaction. Phones can't be totally relied on as they can develop fault when you least expected.

I never imagined that I would be missing out on the luncheon, arrghh! It was so frustrating watching friends enjoy their tasty meals and I was busy swallowing saliva 🤣.

Well I didn't let the phone issue hinder me from making the most of the time with friends. The great company, shared laughter and heartwarming conversations were priceless.

Everyone had an enjoyable experience. We created memories and the moments were all captured in pictures. Tiger Bar felt our presence and that of SpendHBD. I'm sure they would be honoured to have us visit again soon.

So it's official - Tiger Bar, Aba, now accepts HBD as a mode of payment. So friends, you can walk into Tiger Bar, any day, anytime. and SpendHBD 😅. That's another milestone reached in creating awareness about Hive and SpendHbd project. I congratulate the brains behind the listing of Tiger Bar.

My phone is working well now. I tried turning it on again after some hours of leaving our meet up venue and surprisingly, it responded. I'm glad it did as I wouldn't have been able to make this post without it. 😅
