In just 7 days, I’ll be on my way to Malaysia for HiveFest 2025 — the event we’ve all been waiting for! The excitement is real — Hive friends, good talks, maybe a few sleepless nights (in the best way possible). Bags almost packed, power bank charging, and Hive Keychain logged in — ready for the adventure!
This year’s HiveFest is shaping up to be something special — the first ever in Southeast Asia, and I can’t wait to meet all of you legends from across the blockchain. 🌏🔥
Before we all take off, though — here’s a quick but super-important travel reminder for everyone heading to Malaysia 👇
🧾 MDAC Reminder (Malaysia Digital Arrival Card)
Every traveler must fill out the MDAC (Malaysia Digital Arrival Card) within 72 hours before arrival.
Here’s what you need to know:
✈️ Submit it here: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main
📅 When: Only within 72 hours (3 days) before you land in Malaysia — not earlier!
🕒 Window: Opens exactly 72 hours before your arrival time and closes when you enter the country.
🛂 At Immigration: Show your passport and MDAC confirmation on arrival.
📆 Passport Check: Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date.
✅ Tip: Set a reminder for your own arrival time, subtract 72 hours, and fill in the MDAC right when the window opens — smooth entry guaranteed!

I would also bring some way of proving you have enough funds to be there for the time of the stay. They usually never ask, but just in case. A bank 3-month statement is usually enough.
Show them all the black cards you have 🤣that should be enough, right?
