Memoir Monday week 10: My most memorable trip:NYSC

What's your favorite way to travel and your most memorable trip?

I am not really a traveling person but I have a memorable traveling experience.

From the kind of home I come from, they believe, staying at home and doing things at home which is closer is the best, travelling even to another local government in the state is not a welcome idea not even to talk of travelling outside the state to another.
I always want to travel but can't do that because of lack of approval from my parents.

My first travel was hide and seek, I told my parents I was going for a friend's sister matriculation though I didn't share with them the location of the matriculation because I know if I did they wouldn't have approved it.
The matriculation was at university of Calabar so I left my state to another state without my parents knowing though my siblings knew. It was my fist time so when we reached the riverine side, I was freezing just seeing the water inside the car but thank God I was able to control it so I don't look like a village girl.
It went well, I snapped pics, ate and we came back later in the evening.

My next visit was to Abia state still without my parents consent and you know it was scaring I just had to do it for stupidity sake. 😃😃😃😆 Not a good one though.

And my best memorable travel with my parents blessings was my NYSC travel to Sound state to serve my father's land Nigeria.
I travelled by road using bus and I arrived late to camp but it was lovely and for the first time my body size was considered, I was given a down bed. It was stressful and fun.
My experiences at osun wasnt much to explain because of the break out of COVID-19 that time so we were told to travel back to our states and end Sara too makes it not too enjoyable but I had memories and meet friends outside my state.

I meet a lovely and beautiful Yoruba girl, we became friends she was so nice even the guys and till today we still talk. I love those memories and I would love to travel back though this time not to osun but to Abuja and by air. Hahaha I wonder if I can do that air travelling but there is no harm in trying though.

Sounds like you had the urge for adventure that you even lied to your parents about where you were going :) It's good though, that you had fun on those times you traveled away from your home.

The lie was to go outside my state for a while oh but sincerely i didn't feel at home because I was scare but when I travelled with their blessings I was relaxed and they call every now and then

Hi there, good to see you over here at the Silver Bloggers Community...

It's a pleasure that you want to take part in our "Library of Wisdom and Fun"! But there is always a but - i personally got the feeling that you are a "youngster" compared to what we actually "have set" as an average age to have in our community.

So, you might don't get the support in our community because of that. And your post will not be curated by our Moderators. #justSaying

Though you'll be always welcomed, like our grand children are. 😏
