Greatest gift of life is to open your eyes each morning anticipating the excitement of what lays in wait, how time is spent, a very individual decision.
Each day offers variety glancing around many positive emotions fill one, we evaluate how approaching negative feelings in changes, appreciate both good with the bad.
Able to walk a gift, cherishing each moment seeing life living in small or large, everything enjoys time in the sun for but a short period, who measures time, or questions as it ticks by...
Blue reflecting the sky within a butterfly, what joy that brought, glimpse the richness of life not what we tame or cage, what is in the moment.
Golden precious jewels mankind chase yet cannot capture or frame the natural beauty unless you have life, able to partake in these free gifts offered abundantly.
Nothing I have found is ever black nor white, all mingle together we are one, that too in itself is a gift, learning to live trying to understand each other in the few short years we have.
Impressive display, small insects big sign in nature, balance of greater good for all. Stinging in protection, normally moves gently along. Stinging tongues another one lives with, ignore!
Never taking anything for granted, sitting side by side overcoming fear in favour of fortune, life has a way of basking together.
Intricate patterns gifting joy in the knowledge everything blends together when adapted to accepting only what one can change.
At the end of the day the candle does go out for all gifted with life, reflections of what one leaves depends on how well you put to use the cycle in time.
Currently I am assisting a son to enjoy visiting another country for an extended period seeking viability in opportunities.
My days between trying to make arrangements, living with limited electricity supply, it is a period where the gift of time is not always allowing one time online, please bear with me and others who are experiencing very similar problems currently.
Life is a gift to be used every day, never smothered or hidden away.
Whether young and vibrant or starting to show age there is beauty within each, be positive every day, placing negative onto the back burner whenever possible.

Now entering Winter months the warm colours all appear in Golden Shower, Aloes and many other plants. Roses have been a treat first the red now yellow in bloom. Nature is talking 🙂, thanks for the lovely token and visit.
The roses remind me of the South African gardens, I like roses with marron being my favorite color, and the yellow-orange rose above is beautiful beyond belief.
Your camera does a good job of photographing the butterflies, the first time I had one photograph which I shared during the days of Steem I felt like a pro.

Red roses bloomed first, now these are flowering, my Dad always called them the 'Little Joey' rose, rings true!
Photography was a requirement from the moment I arrived online in 2008 full time I realized plagiarism was a potential problem, now a hobby I totally learned to love.
We are getting there slowly, he sure is a Doubting Thomas on the best of days, my hope is he will find the right environment to thrive and grow.

I was able to put a lot of SA photos on Hive, and the intention is to do the same with Benin, I have not had the chance to travel more in Benin as I had in SA but I will come up with photos of the places around me.
I am surprised it is a Pentecost public holiday here, in SA there is nothing like that, I think in Nigeria today is also a public holiday. It is funny.

I notice the names of places are being changed before I left though.
Changing names of towns a total waste of money, better use to build new homes that are sorely lacking with street names rather than random numbers. Pride in a place takes people much further.
Public holidays that changed, it more often than not was merely for the sake of change....
My thought as well, a complete waste of money, why not fix the damn potholes instead of spending money on changing the names of streets, etc. Africans and our mentality.

Life is full of these gifts. Your post is a great example of that! Life is supposed to be lived, but in our living life, there are these gifts that remind us of just how special it is. I am back for a while in the Cape, and with the cold and rain spells, I see almost no bird life. Sad that they are not showing their faces, but totally understandable.
Life is a gift, as you rightly say, and if we all did treat it like a precious gift from a good friend many more if not all people would wake up with a smile each day 😀

When you think a 15 year old in South African child does not know what it is to have constant electricity supply it is a disgrace.
Whole country is being switched off continuously throughout the day at different times to 'share the power' 'keep the grid up'! This is what happens when you chase engineers away using draconian methods that we have already lived under with segregation and hoped would never see it again.

Stunning nature photography Joan! There are so many little miracles around us all the time, and you've captured many of those here.
Life certainly brings us many joys but also many challenges.
Real life comes first and we all face times where it keeps us away from the keyboard.
Somehow, this has been happening to many of us ever since the nasty Covid and the lockdowns.
Added to that are the frustrations of loadshedding.
But as you say, we'll look to the beauty of each day and appreciate life!

Stopping to smell the roses, calming on stormy days, emotional roller coaster with too many upsets at the end of the day.
Keep smiling and hope you cope with loadshedding along with other problems we face daily. No power in quarter of an hour again! Yikes!!!

Late rain brought the roses out to cheer us up, they are gorgeous!
I like the cycle in time part yess it was the important one not to waste the time even a minute, but sure that we shouldn't worry alot .
Older one gets I think you realize more, yes you need to be comfortable, not chasing money all the time, other things bring more pleasure to the soul.
Stunning pictures. I would even say inspiring walks in nature. Such delicate flowers, and insects on them. This is very interesting to look at.
Insects often most unusual have to be shared, one is not a bee but similar in shape and size. Grasshopper right next to a butterfly sharing a sunny spot, ever moving and changing, interesting things in life.

here in my country we live a long season those power cuts, and in many places has improved a lot but many still suffer from this dilemma.
The camera I use fits into your pocket, a Canon PowerShot SX 730 HS, camera literally goes wherever I go, more than a cellphone.
We are slowly getting all documentation collated, doing testing of limited weight for suitcase, making sure he has essentials, being at least 5 months away.

Fun fact is nature teaches us much, seasonal change, being oneself, accepting life to the full is by immersing ourselves into being a small part of a big picture.
These are so beautiful. The addition of the insects together with the flowers and plants with their detail is great. Looks like the lizard may be on the prowl though for some of them.
Lizard sunning himself on the grass was unusual, normally enjoys the bark of a tree where he blends into his surroundings or on the rocks that are far warmer. Winter garden is as much fund as the Summer garden here in sub-tropical region.
