The robin is one of my favorite birds since it is one of the birds that doesn't have such a high fleeing distance. During spring time it is also singing very often and watching this bird singing it's wonderfull melody is always something special for me. At the Cementary nearby my home I can encounter this bird very often and that's why I already took numerous pictures of it.
When I was lying down on the floor some people asked me what I am doing there in the dirt? Then also some took out there smartphone to take some pictures of the squirrels there. I always find it very funny since I can imagen how far away the animals must appear on a wide angle lens, but this shouldn't be my problem, if they are happy about it. The only thing I don't like very much is when they see me lying there and waiting for some animals to come closer, when they get close and chase away birds and other animals. But otherwise it would probably be too easy and everybody could make pictures like these.

Excellent bright colours on the face and bib. I take it this is the male because of the vividness of its feathers. He seems very energetic with his vocalizations.
@florian-glechner You were very lucky to get those good shots, the pictures are beautiful as the bird enhances the image with its colours. I would like to hear it sing.
