Busy Crow

in Feathered Friendslast year

BUSY BIRDS is the theme of this week's contest in Feathered Friends Community and you still have time till Sunday, when the round will be closed, to present your awesome photos. The task is easy, because birds are always busy, whatever they are doing. Perhaps, they are busier when it comes to feed their chicks, flying to and fro and bringing food to stuff the hungry throats.

Still, if you see a bird, like this crow casually walking, it doesn't mean the bird has nothing to do.

This is the same crow from the contest post carrying sticks. Now she is looking around for more building material. There is something on the ground, may be useful.

Or, maybe not. The crow decided to leave it behind.

Searching for food, that's what makes the birds busy too.

What we've got here, an orange?

Nah, a plastic ball, not very useful.

And finally busy doing nothing. Or, is it nothing indeed?

Some birds are experts of making the stage of their performance to attract the female. I watched a documentary about such birds. It was interesting how carefully they were choosing to decorate the scene, putting flowers on the floor, clearing it from fallen leaves. Everything they can do to make the female birds think they are the right ones. Birds will never stop to amaze me.

And that's all for now, I am looking forward to seeing your busy birds this week. Have a great day and happy birding!

Crows are always busy. Amazing shots btw 🤩

Thank you kindly, 🙂

Splendid pictures of the crow. I've never seen a gray and black crow. the ones around here are all black.
Great timing with the old trigger finger in the pic of the crow and the orange ball.

Thank you! 🙂
If I see something black in colour, it will be raven or rook.
But I haven't seen raven yet.
