If you create quality post with more images and interesting story about them, you could be nominated for OCD upvote. Making extra effort can give you bigger upvotes.

Oh we have the Speckled pigeon, one I photographed up in the mountains a couple of years ago, unfortunately I have used this photography previously, will share only to show.
A bird that is a bit of a menace if they start nesting in your roof (particularly thatch roofing), very pretty to look at, I have ever seen on the coast.

This pigeon is different the ones I used to see around. Thank you @joanstewart!

Thank you for the mention Lady @joanstewart and here is a Speckled (Rock) pigeon that we saved and set free very healthy in November last year.
Her name is "Chee-chee" due to sound that she made as a baby and she liked to sit on Marian's head.
She still occasionally visits here accompanied by her boyfriend 🤣

So long as you don't have a thatch roof 😄 they apparently love getting indoors and nesting, up in the berg we were specifically asked not to feed them years ago.
Tell Marian I do like her hairstylist, very impressive!
We don't have a thatch thankfully, as Marian will turn it into a zoo.
And hahaha, her stylist is very famous. She is called Mrs. Water Shower 🤣

Always a good feeling when the bird trusts a human, when free normally do return to say hello again.
Yes indeed, but we don't encourage her Lady Joan and it is good to see that she has become more skittish. Squirry paid the price of trusting humans as she is gone and we don't even want to think about what happened to her. Thankfully 3 of the kids are still around and although Marian feeds them, we don't make any physical contact with them.
The wild belongs to the wild.

Having raised many young birds who have fallen from nests, never caged and let free to fly when ready, it is always a happy/sad moment letting go.
Squirrels we don't have, I would imagine they could become too familiar with adopted families, then not realizing not all is equal become a target for those who do not appreciate nature in the wild.

That is a really gorgeous pigeon! Such beautiful colors and markings!
They are pretty, swift in flight with quite noisy wing flap Sadly they are finding themselves more at home in human habitat.

Great, you managed to find pigeon photos!
It's probably as far as i go with birds unless i visit a zoo they don't hang around like they do for you 😄
I have started to practice with birds in the zoo. ☺
But I consider myself lucky to live in am area with so many birds.
Zoo's can be great places to visit and do bird photography especially if it's a huge bird aviary they can't fly to far plus i think they would be more settled.
In our zoo, which is vety small by the way, I used to stay near the pelicans and they were good models.
We do have a big bird zoo in Currumbin Bird Sanctuary in Queensland have never been there but it might be worth the 3 hour drive from where i am.
