The weather is fine today and I decided to go to the park in the morning. There are feeders for small birds where I constantly carry seeds. As soon as you start to come closer, the tits are already flocking to the feeder. They perch on tree branches next to the feeders and patiently wait for me to pour food into their feeders.
So it was today. I slowly carefully poured the seeds into the feeders and just walked away from the feeders. when I suddenly saw a jay fly from a neighboring tree to the feeders. I had not seen her before. She was probably sitting among the branches and also waiting for me to pour seeds into the feeders.
Jays are usually very shy. But today she was the very first to fly up to the feeder. Apparently she was very hungry. Sitting on the feeder, she began to look at what was there. Everything happened pretty quickly. Good thing I had my camera ready.
In this feeder, in addition to my seeds, there were several large pieces of white bread. Probably someone before me came and put this bread in the feeder. Jay immediately saw what was there. Without hesitation, she grabbed the largest piece of bread with her beak and instantly flapped her wings and flew away. I just looked at her regretfully.
But still. I managed to take a few photos. It was great luck for me. Unfortunately, I have not seen this jay again. But I hope that I will be able to photograph this bird again.
