Feathered Friends Show Me A Photo Contest Round 223 "Peacock"

Hello Hive Community.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is on a completely new topic and this is my Third post in Feathered Friends. In today's post, I have shared with you the photographs of a bird called Peacock. Today's post is based on a contest in which photographs of the peacock submitted above. I hope that my post and photographs will be eligible for the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 223 which is being run by @nelinoeva .

Peacock is my favorite bird among birds. Peacock is one of the most beautiful birds in the world. Peacock is famous for its colorful feathers and beautiful walk. These birds are mostly found in forests. Especially in India, Sri Lanka and some parts of Southeast Asia, peacocks have a special presence. Seeing peacocks roaming freely in the forest is a magical experience which can be seen in the photographs above.

Peacocks live in small groups in the forest. If we talk about peacocks, they prefer to stay near water sources and trees. The reason is that food and safety are easily found around watery areas. Peacocks eat seeds, fruits, insects and small animals like lizards. Peacocks spend their mornings searching for food, and their afternoons resting in the shade. Peacocks are very alert birds. When they feel threatened, they scream loudly. Which I have experienced myself.

I have also heard from many people that peacocks can sense natural disasters like storms and rains in advance. And peacocks scream loudly before a storm. Another interesting thing to know is that peacocks play an important role in the forest. Like, they help keep the number of insects low and spread seeds by eating fruits and moving around. This helps plants grow in new places. In this way, peacocks help keep the forest healthy and alive.

Although peacocks are strong and intelligent birds, they have to face dangers in the forest. Due to agriculture, roads and buildings, the homes of peacocks in the forest are getting smaller. I believe that it is important to protect the homes of peacocks in the forest. If we take care of the forests and respect all living creatures, then future generations will also be able to enjoy the sight of peacocks roaming freely.

I hope that my post will definitely pass the Show Me A Photo Contest Round 223.

I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
