🦉 The great tit (Parus major)

📚 Parus (lat.) Tit
📚 major (lat.) large

Now is the time to watch how the mating season goes for these yellow birds. In every courtyard of streets, parks, groves and forests, one can already hear the spring three-syllable songs of these birds. Even earlier, in January-February, when the temperature rose and it was sunny, one could hear the modest quiet disyllabic song of the male.

Very soon, in 3 weeks, pairs of these birds will slowly fly away to the forests, looking for a territory for future nesting. However, some couples will stay in the city, and according to my long-term observations, most of them will not have offspring.
