This is a very timely topic, because now the mating season for birds is in full swing.
Waxwing
This is one of my favorite photos that fits this theme. It was made in the spring of 2022. A flock of these birds was flying back to their home in the north after wintering. And I saw this cute couple. The male picked a berry (viburnum) from the bush and treated it to the female.
Great merganser
And this couple is also from 2022 in mid-April. A male and a female swam together along a thawed river in the middle of ice and snow.
Raven
This couple flew over the forest and tried to stay close to each other.
Black kite
In general, flying as close to each other as possible is a mating ritual. I suppose this is how the female tests the male's agility.

Awww, how sweet these couples are, especially the caring male feeding his partner. Stunning image! 🙂
And the kites too - it is worth watching them fly above.
The waxwings are so beautiful. Very nice pictures but also the black kites.
