๐ฆ The great tit (Parus major)
๐ Parus (lat.) Tit
๐ major (lat.) large
As soon as winter ends, and it becomes at least a little bit warmer, and there is at least the slightest hint of spring, these birds begin to slowly fly away from the cities back to the forests. Even in winter, high-ranking males begin to timidly sing a mating song and look for a partner. And by spring, this pair is already looking for a future nesting place together.
And already somewhere by the beginning of April, these birds practically do not remain in the city yards. But there are those who remain, as a rule, this is one couple. For all my time studying these birds, I still do not understand why and why they remain to live in the city. And most of the time they don't have nestlings.
