A rare experience of seeing them so close
The morning was a surprise - the mummy pigeon was missing on the nest. We have been seeing it sitting next to the window all the time for more than couple of weeks. So I got a little curious and when I looked closer, I found the new borne have arrived in this world. May be they are out few hours back and their mother has gone somewhere to find some food for them ? I quickly picked the phone and took these close shots and video, after opening the window. All the time I was very scare because I know, their mother attacks. My hand was shaking in fear, you can realize from the video. And I was not wrong,it was somewhere nearby and it came back. I did not intend to disturb them, it was just a nice opportunity, so I closed the window and they are back inside their mother's wings.
It appears, the mother have put some more effort in making the nest more comfortable. Comparing it to the image I posted last here, it has added some more cushion like every other mom does for their kids. Hopefully bot the siblings survive this time and fly soon.

Wow, that was fast! They are cute but I think when they are ready to fly and start their own lives, you should "reclaim" your window :D You were already kind enough to help raise two generations of pigeons on your window :D Very kind of you indeed :)

Yes, and we hope, this should be the last batch :) They have taken over the place, forcing us to keep the only window in kitchen closed.

Not very sure, but most likely it has left. The one that comes, tries to get along with the lady pigeon - must be the culprit for all these :)
Hopefully, it will find a partner anywhere it has gone to and live a happy life thereafter. .

YAY! What an amazing experience although you risked being attacked by the mother. I still can't believe that she laid the eggs before the previous baby left. And such an uncomfortable looking nest for newborns
I think, she has added some cushions, earlier it was even more uncomfortable.
Taking care of chicks is very important, make sure to ensure proper ventilation and provide a diet rich in proteins and vitamins.
They are already sitting in the most ventilated place in that room, keeping us choked :)
Make sure that the drinking bowls are not deep so that chicks can drink easily.
The chicks are not drinking before couple of weeks at the minimum.
When I was in Bhubaneswar, I have seen the pigeons so closely too, but here in rajasthan the pigeons are not found much. My brother use to take good care of these pets. 🥰
