The curious look of my parent reared female Harris's hawk (2024.06.02)

in Feathered Friends3 months ago (edited)

I took these photos yesterday (on 2024.06.01).

My parent reared female Harris's hawk curiously looked into the front camera of my smartphone (Motorola Moto G22).

A few words about her current socialisation.

She is calm with me, but I have not went amongst people with her in the previous few days, and she is screaming at other people again.

I do not bring her into the cave/tent living community place anymore. Some people asked me not to bring my Harris's hawk into the cave/tent living community place, because they fear her.

I understand and respect this, and I comply with this.

And I do not bring her into the nearb cities either mostly because of the same reason (I do not like to make people fear) and because I do not speak Spanish.

So I cannot really continue her socialisation. Other than meonly a very few people are seeing her occasionally.

Probably she will be used mostly (or only) to me.
This is not a problem. I accept it.
I spend most of the day with her alone.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
