A Day in my WorkLife - Building My First Game and Starting to Stream. What Could Possibly Go Wrong? 🤔

in Geek Zone • last year

Hiya Fellas, I'm definitely not the person to say "Hiya", but as I'm feeling quite pumped, it feels like there's nothing I can't do. xD.

Okay, so I wanted to share the behind-the-scenes of my Work Life today with you guys and give a quick run of how it's achievable and what it takes. ⬇

First off on the List - I'm Building my First Game

So Long story short, I'm a fervent Designer in the Web3 Space and I work on content like Illustration, Infographics, Website UI, Logos, and more along those lines.

In ONE Word - I Love to Design (Maybe because I'm Creative, Imaginative, or Just Attracted to Beautiful things?).
Secondly - I HATE Coding (Hate course is a Strong word, but as I feel Sleepy whenever I try to code, you get the drift)

But combine these likes and dislikes of mine, AND, I'm nonetheless competing in a 2 weeks Game Jam and building my first game ever. It's a kind of Learning Game where Players Guess words and Progress to the next level - It's still a bit private for now.

The Game has been taking a toll on me, and I've been writing more code than I thought possible. In short, I discovered that I can solve coding problems rather well (I just need a hot bath and to lay dead still thinking about codes xD).

It's extremely tiring but fun, it feels satisfactory to see a Game Mechanics come to life too!.

Second on my list - Streaming Games I Love

So, I continue to make preparations as I work towards revamping my Youtube Channel and Sparing some time Weekly for my Video Gaming Hobby. I will start by setting up the necessary equipment such as;

  • Xbox Gamepad

  • Flexible Keyboard

  • Extra RAM for my PC
  • A Vlogging Equipment
  • Current Android Device (😛)

But I'm Short of Just One thing, Games to Stream. So Before I delve into Steam Games which I plan to Pick my Favorites from, I wanna try out Itch Games. Itch.Io is a Packed Game Store with all kinds of Indie Based Mobile and PC Games, their Games are more on the Lower End RAM Usage and that works for me very much.

I'm looking at more Adventure, Shooter, and Mystery Games but who knows If I might give some try on Horror Games LOL.

Some Upcoming Titles I'm Loving;

Take a look at some badass games I'm getting really interested in and have already installed:

I Hope to Update you Guys Continuously and Share some Tidbits about the process involved so anyone can learn from it.
