Hi, I am new to this "communities" aspect of HIVE, so not sure how it works.
#Galactic-Milieu posts have thus been collecting under the #Galactic-Milieu tag rather than in a "community" or "collection" (I don't know how "collections" work either, its not just communities I have not yet really looked into.)
Some background about me and the background that ultimately led to the #Galactic-Milieu is on the front page of my MakeMoney Knotwork site; near the top of that page you will also find links to collections of asset info both for assets on the HORIZON platform and for assets on the STELLAR platform. It is hoped that once DMD Diamond v4 comes out we will also be spreading onto the DMD platform, and of course someday the HIVE platform will also become involved.
We used to use Devtome as a hopefully-permanent place to store #Galactic-Milieu documentation, back in the days when #Devcoin paid people to post articles to #Devtome. Alas, that project didn't do well, it was all we could do to persuade the #Devcoin folk to keep it online in read-only mode so that at least all the links to it we had created over the years would not yet fall to link-rot.
Our experiments so far here with posts about the #Galactic-Milieu are inconclusive so far as to whether HIVE will work as an actual interaction type place to post, where people interested in #play-to-earn and #blockchain #gaming can discover the game, or will turn out, rather, to be more of just another place to post documentation for the long term, posts that might not be of much interest to existing denizens of this platform that can serve as another place for existing players of the #Galactic-Milieu to find info about the game and maybe even some of its players.
The top or main page of the many linked pages about the #Galactic-Milieu on the #Devtome wiki is at https://www.devtome.com/galactic_milieu
Among the things that page explains is that it is a metagame, a multiverse, in which almost any online multi-player free open-source game that actually works is tried out to see if it can somehow be incorporated into the Milieu. So far the main portals, windows or rabbit-holes into the Milieu are #Crossfire-RPG for 2-D tile-based individual-character scale, #CoffeeMUD MUD for text-mode, highly scriptable individual-character scale, #FreeCiv for 2-D tile-based planetary (civilisations) scale, and Battle for Wesnoth (#BfW) for, so far, playable docudramas about things that already happened, as after all these years it is starting to seem like the proposal to make Wesnoth able to work with persistent-world online databases might not actually happen for gosh knows how many years yet, if ever.
The beauty of using free open-source components is anyone can grab them themselves for free to practice and study as much as they wish before jumping into the actual live games that constitute the #Galactic-Milieu.
Well here goes with posting this, it will be interesting to see whether posting to a "community" increases the seemingly very low chance of actually generating some responses, maybe even some new players checking out the game...
Hive is a great community.
You should also join some of the gaming communities and discords to spread the word of your project.
Also join and try inleo.io to post a thread with #gaming about what you are greating.
Good luck. I am going to check it out.
Why would I need to join another front-end of HIVE, do they not all show all the same articles from the same blockchain?
