[ENG|ESP] Welcoming the Christmas spirit while decorating the tree as a family | Recibiendo el espíritu de la navidad mientras adornamos el arbolito en familia

¡Hola Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Ya cada vez son menos días para el tan esperado 24 y el día de hoy, 21 de diciembre, le hemos dado la bienvenida al espíritu de la navidad. Muchos de mis paisanos seguro pensaran ¿apenas esta colocando el arbolito? Ya yo lo tenía puesto desde noviembre o inicios de diciembre, pero la verdad es que por mi trabajo me costó mucho organizarme para ordenar todo porque no solo era colocar el pino sino que antes me gusta mucho hacer una limpieza general, mover los muebles y demás para darle su lugar especial al árbol.

Estaba en ese momento en el que siembre decía mañana lo hago pero siempre teníamos una pauta y al llegar a casa lo menos que quería era hacer otra cosa que no fuera acostarme en mi cama a descansar. Luego llegó la gripe y me atrasó más pero justo hoy tuve la energía (que comúnmente no tengo jaja porque amo perecear) y arreglé toda mi casa.

Hola Hola my dear friends of Hive! It's getting closer and closer to the long awaited 24th and today, December 21st, we have welcomed the spirit of Christmas. Many of my fellow countrymen will surely think she's just putting up the tree? I had it up since November or the beginning of December, but the truth is that because of my job I had a hard time organizing myself to put everything in order because I not only had to put up the pine tree, but I also like to do a general cleaning, move the furniture and other things to give the tree its special place.

I was in that moment when I always said tomorrow I'll do it but we always had a pattern and when I got home the least I wanted to do was to do anything else but lie down on my bed to rest. Then the flu came and put me further behind but just today I had the energy (which I don't usually have haha because I love to perish) and fixed my whole house.

Aunque realmente no soy una chica que le guste hacer oficios jaja, siempre trato de mantener la casa lo más ordenada que pueda por lo que cuando hice la limpieza de todos los espacios no había tanto desastre y pude sacar esa parte de mi lista muy rápido.

Although I'm not really a girl who likes to do crafts haha, I always try to keep the house as tidy as I can so when I did the cleaning of all the spaces there wasn't that much mess and I was able to get that part off my list pretty quickly.

Después que tuve la casa y es espacio que había elegido para colocar el pino organizado, llamé a mi mamá para que juntas armaramos toda la decoración. Desde que llegó diciembre y los días avanzaban mi mamá siempre me preguntaba cuando iba a colorar el árbol pero finalmente el momento llegó y que mejor día que cuando llega el espíritu de la navidad. Todo se dio para que justamente hoy lograra colocar todos los ornamentos navideños en mi hogar.

After I had the house and the space I had chosen to place the pine tree organized, I called my mom so that together we could put together all the decorations. Since December arrived and the days went by my mom always asked me when I was going to color the tree but finally the moment arrived and what better day than when the Christmas spirit arrives. Everything came together so that today I was able to put up all the Christmas ornaments in my home.

Primero comenzamos colocando las luces. Este año traté de comprar más luces navideñas porque esta vez quería un look minimalista en mi arbolito así que debía colocar muchas más luces para que luciera lindo, solo que tuvimos un problema al principio que casi hizo a mi mamá desistir en seguir con la decoración jeje y fue que como comúnmente sabemos, estas extensiones tienen una parte donde se conecta y otra donde lo concectan y de esa manera el cable se va haciendo más largo, resulta que hice mal la conexión y cuando fui a conectar todo al toma corriente para ver como lucia, pues lo que tenía en mi mano no era el lado que tenían los cachitos para conectar sino el espacio para conectar otra extensión je. Tuvimos que desarmar una parte y volver a empezar.

First we started by putting up the lights. This year I tried to buy more Christmas lights because this time I wanted a minimalist look in my tree so I had to place many more lights to make it look nice, only we had a problem at the beginning that almost made my mom give up on continuing with the decoration hehe and it was that as we commonly know, these extensions have a part where it is connected and another part where it is connected and that way the cable is getting longer, it turns out that I made the wrong connection and when I went to connect everything to the socket to see how it looked, well what I had in my hand was not the side that had the little pieces to connect but the space to connect another extension hehe. We had to disassemble part of it and start over.

Ya luego de que resolvimos el dilema de las luces, pasamos a otra de las partes que más me emociona y es la decoración. El año pasado me basé en decorar según el color de la base del pino que era rojo y dorado, cuando ya lo tuvimos listo mi mama me regaló una decoración que desde niña yo siempre he amado y se trata de un santa y un renito. Mi mamá decidió obsequiármelo y es uno de mis tesoros más grandes, ese año no combinaban bien con la decoración porque eran de color azul y todo lo demás es rojo por lo que este año decidimos hacerlo diferente. Cambié la base a azul y dorado y priorizamos los ornamentos dorados, realmente son los mismos que el año anterior porque no tuve presupuesto para renovar jaja el pino es muy grande pero con la base diferente y al ser gran parte de la decoración del tono dorado, todo se veía mucho más balanceado.

After we solved the dilemma of the lights, we moved on to another part that excites me the most and that is the decoration. Last year I based my decorations on the color of the base of the pine tree which was red and gold, when we had it ready my mom gave me a decoration that I have always loved since I was a little girl and it is a Santa and a little reindeer. My mom decided to give it to me as a gift and it is one of my greatest treasures, that year they did not match well with the decoration because they were blue and everything else is red so this year we decided to make it different. I changed the base to blue and gold and we prioritized the gold ornaments, actually they are the same as last year because I had no budget to renovate haha the pine is very big but with the different base and being much of the decoration in gold tone, everything looked much more balanced.

Quedamos completamente felices de como quedó todo esta navidad. El árbol quedó hermoso, ahora cuando salgo de mi habitación lo primero que veo al abrir la puerta es a este lindo pino y en las noches con las luces encendidas provoca una emoción tan grande por esta navidad, mi niña interior está sumamente contenta y mucho más feliz porque mi mamá también estuvo allí y al ritmo de las canciones navideñas disfrutamos de esta actividad.

We were completely happy with how everything turned out this Christmas. The tree was beautiful, now when I leave my room the first thing I see when I open the door is this beautiful pine tree and at night with the lights on it causes such a great emotion for this Christmas, my inner child is extremely happy and much happier because my mom was also there and to the rhythm of Christmas songs we enjoyed this activity.
