A Sunday in Cubiro 🌳 - un domingo en Cubiro [ENG-ESP]

Hello, lovely people of this beautiful community! I’m happy to be here again to share a little bit about my day.

Last Sunday, without any plans in mind, I ended up having one of the best outings in a long time. Our neighbors, who have become great friends, invited my sister and me on a trip to Cubiro, a beautiful town in the state of Lara. Even though I was born in Barquisimeto, I hadn’t visited Cubiro in years, so I couldn’t say no. Plus, we brought Kyoto and his best friend Max along, which made the trip even more special.

The road trip was so much fun, filled with laughter and stories. Between conversations and good music, time flew by. Since we arrived a bit late, the first thing we did was find a restaurant to eat. We all ordered the traditional cachapas con cochino, and although the wait was a bit long, it was totally worth it—they were delicious!

After eating, we headed to Las Lomas, one of Cubiro’s most iconic spots. As soon as we entered, we came across a lady selling handmade jewelry, and of course, I couldn’t resist buying a few things. Then, we continued walking, took photos, and enjoyed the scenery until we found the perfect spot to lay down our blanket and relax.

At first, I hesitated to let Kyoto off the leash since he’s a little escape artist, but I decided to give him a chance to play freely with Max. They didn’t waste a second, running non-stop and even jumping on some people nearby. It was both hilarious and adorable.

The afternoon passed by with great conversations, laughter, and a breathtaking view. Before leaving, we tried goat’s milk caramel, and of course, I couldn’t leave without having fresas con crema—they were exquisite!

This trip definitely became one of my favorite outings with my friends. I hope we can go on another adventure like this soon. Cubiro, I’ll be back!

Un domingo en Cubiro:
Holis personitas de esta hermosa comunidad, feliz de estar nuevamente por aquí para contarles un poco de mi otro día.
El pasado domingo, sin planes en mente, terminé teniendo una de las mejores salidas en mucho tiempo. Mis vecinos, que ahora son grandes amigos, nos invitaron a mi hermana y a mí a un paseo a Cubiro, un hermoso pueblo en el estado Lara. A pesar de haber nacido en Barquisimeto, hacía años que no visitaba Cubiro, así que no pude negarme. Además, llevamos con nosotros a Kyoto y su mejor amigo Max, lo que hizo el viaje aún más especial.
El trayecto en carretera fue muy entretenido, lleno de risas y anécdotas. Entre conversaciones y buena música, el tiempo pasó volando. Como llegamos un poco tarde, lo primero que hicimos al llegar fue buscar un restaurante para comer. Todos pedimos las tradicionales cachapas con cochino, y aunque la espera fue un poco larga, valió totalmente la pena: ¡estaban deliciosas!
Después de comer, fuimos a las lomas, uno de los lugares más icónicos de Cubiro. Nada más entrar, nos encontramos con una señora vendiendo bisutería, y por supuesto, no pude resistirme a comprar algunas cositas. Luego, seguimos caminando, tomamos fotos y disfrutamos del paisaje hasta que encontramos el lugar perfecto para extender nuestra manta y relajarnos.
Aunque al principio dudé en soltar a Kyoto, ya que es un pequeño escapista, decidí darle la oportunidad de jugar libremente con Max. No desaprovecharon ni un segundo, corriendo sin parar y hasta saltando sobre algunas personas que estaban cerca. Fue un momento muy divertido y tierno a la vez.
La tarde pasó entre conversaciones, risas y una vista espectacular. Antes de irnos, probamos dulce de leche de cabra, y por supuesto, yo no podía irme sin mis fresas con crema, que estaban exquisitas.
Definitivamente, este paseo se convirtió en una de mis salidas favoritas con mis amigos. Espero que pronto podamos repetir una aventura así. ¡Cubiro, volveré!
