Recently, we celebrated my niece's 7th birthday. Actually, this was not the initial plan. We only wanted a simple celebration for her, but her mother insisted on a program. As her Auntie, I worked on editing her invitations and birthday tarpaulin. Even with a minimal timeframe, we still managed to prepare everything for her special day. And here's how it went.
We borrowed curtains and other design materials from a friend for this celebration, and bought balloons to add. I made her tarpaulin and went to a printing shop in the morning, since it will be her background. We also prepared some candy giveaways for the kids attending the party.

While we were busy preparing the tables and designing the surroundings, some relatives also came over to help with the food, from cooking to packing. It is truly teamwork, since we need to do everything ourselves due to a tight budget.

When everything was settled, we just waited for the guests to arrive before we started the program. People started coming one by one, and the kids are already excited about the party. We waited a few more minutes before I started speaking, and I asked for an opening prayer first. Then we welcomed the birthday celebrant to step forward before her guests.

In the middle of the program, we called the kids in front to play some games. We are so happy that they are very cooperative and attentive. They were so excited, and we just started making them play some games—with prizes, of course.

The program went on until it was time to eat. We just prepared simple food for the guests, but we made sure it would make their tummies happy. While everyone is enjoying their food, I just took a photo of the gifts my niece received. I even asked her if she was delighted, and she said she was. Aside from the material things, she also received monetary gifts from her guests and our relatives. It was a simple yet enjoyable birthday bash!
