Simple Birthday Celebration of My Eldest Daughter

Celebrating our birthday is one of the most significant happenings in our lives. From the moment we are born, we can see the beauty of life. That's why it must be celebrated as our way of giving thanks to our almighty Father for the life given to us. So my dear dear friends in this blog, I will share how my eldest daughter celebrated her 17th birthday. The celebration happened last week January 29 instead of having our celebration on January 30. Why chose to celebrate her birthday last January 29 because it was a holiday.

So on that day my husband and I woke up early and went to the market to buy some meat and other food for our preparation.
These are the items we brought
1.10 kilos pork belly
2.2 kilos shrimps
3.3 kilos chicken
4.1-kilo behon
5.5 kilos fruits( 🍌)
6.4 packs of softdrinks
7.cake
8.2 packs of special cupcakes
9.spices and condiments
10.1 kilos spaghetti and ingredients for sauces
11.3 kilos pork for humba
12.beer

I also bought charcoal for our lechon belly. When we arrived home, I hurriedly marinated the meat for humba, belly, chicken afritada, and shrimp. I requested my younger sister to cook humba and my brother-in-law to cook belly. My elder sister assisted me in preparing the spices and other condiments. Then when everything was ready I cooked personally the stir-fried shrimp, beer, spaghetti, and chicken afritada.

When the food was ready, we set up the dining table for our get-together lunch with our close relatives both of my husbands. Before eating we blessed the food and sang a Happy Birthday My daughter blew her candles and prayed her wishes. Since my daughter didn't love photos we haven't had a nice photo with her. We enjoyed eating a sumptuous meal prepared to thank God for giving my daughter another year and more years to come.
