Celebrating Family's Valentine's Day at Lot 10 Food Court

On Valentine's Day in the month of February, when my parents were around, my youngest brother suggested we all dined at somewhere special and not nearby anymore. We asked him to suggest, he said, "Let's go Lot 10! So-called food haven!"

Firstly...Happy Valentine's Day from us! ❤️❤️

We saw this backdrop which was really colourful, decided to ask my parents to do something different although my shy Mum was really reluctant haha! But she did it anyway. They did it! Blessing both of you lovey dovey and healthy till old.

And then, our turn. Happy Valentine's Day from us.

We saw this really fun area outside the washroom, where a black board and chalks were provided and it was fun reading all the messages written by people. The boys had some time scribbling and writing what they wanted.

Husband wrote "Jesus loves you".

Play first...

It was still early at around 6pm, and while waiting for my youngest brother and his wife to arrive, we strolled around and hang out at this free play area. Only kids below 12 years old could play, so only the little ones got to have fun. The adults were sitting at the seats provided.

Time To Eat!

Lot 10 Hutong Food Court

This food court is very famous among the tourists, as well as locals, because it promises to have all the great gourmet food under one food centre, and it is our platinum award-winning Heritage Food Village.

📍LG Floor, Lot 10, Shopping Centre, 50, Jln Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur

It was really crowded by the time we reached the food court at 7pm. We actually needed to look around and wait for awhile for other customers to finish eating their food and vacate the table. Finally, we got ourselves a place — isolated table for my parents and brother and his wife. And another side combined tables for the rest of us. Yay!

Braised duck and pork combo

My youngest son was really hungry after the play at the play area that I quickly grabbed a food nearby where we were seated. This shop sells all sorts of braised, it has braised duck, braised pork and braised chicken.

I ordered braised duck and pork combo which came with rice and braised tofu and hard-boiled eggs. The portion was huge so I got to share with my youngest son.

Look at him enjoying his braised duck and rice!

Roasted pork and BBQ Pork

My mother ordered roasted pork and bbq pork rice. This was so so good. I regretted I didn't order this, but my Mum let me try few mouthfuls. Thank you, Mummy.

Hokkien Char

My dad and forever his favourite food. He could never resist a great wok-hei Hokkien Mee. This was perfectly stir-fried with intense wok-hei and a good combination of sauces with lard oil. Every mouthful was satisfying. I got to try one mouthful too!

Pan Mee

My son and his 'pan mee', handmade dough noodle. Unfortunately, not sure why the sauces was not enough, making the whole dish very dry. But he still slurped all.

Red Wine Mee Sua

My husband shared this to be shared with me, he was thinking since we were at this food court, and not often would come here so he ordered two main dishes to be shared. This red wine mee sua aka longevity noodle was so full of wine umami, tasty enough and the noodle was so smooth. I love it!

Char Kuey Teow

My husband would never part with his char kuey teow, meaning stir fry flat noodle with beansprout, eggs and meat slices. The taste was delicious except it was lacking in meat in our opinion, so not so worth for its expensive price.

Asian Pancake / Apam Balik

Before my brother and his wife arrived at Lot10, they were at Petaling Street for a walk and they got us this Asian Pancake we called 'Apam balik', it was fluffy flour with fillings of peanuts and chocolate, butter and corn and sugar. Very yummy!

Desserts

Lastly, a meal wasn't complete without desserts. We ordered three types to be shared among all of us, good thing the lady boss was willing to give us extra bowls and spoons for sharing purpose. We ordered shaved iced mango, shaved iced mango with watermelon and ABC which has all variety in it. They were mouth-watering.

It was such a great, noisy, joyful night of eating while celebrating love. Family is where love never ends. Our stomachs and hearts were full. ❤️
