Moments of Sweetness and Serenity in a Busy Day

Hello Hivers! Good day! It's me again, @itsmemic , and today I'll share with you what happened during my day and where we went to get something refreshing for our minds. At that time, we really needed something cold to drink to cool off the stress of the day.

My go-to buddy, especially when it comes to food, was with me. One of our other friends suddenly offered to treat us, and I didn’t bother asking why. The one who treated us was actually a coworker of my friend, and I just got included in the treat.

Where We Went

First, I asked her where she planned to buy the drinks, and she told me to go to Uncle Brew, a milk tea shop near our campus, which was just walking distance.

I also made sure to bring my Brewstar loyalty card, which I got last week. If you fill out all the stamps on the card, you can get a free drink, but mine wasn’t complete yet. I just brought it along to get it stamped.

It was funny because we almost forgot to have it stamped! I only remembered after we left the shop, so luckily, we went back and got it signed.

What We Ordered

My absolute favorite on their menu is the Panda Pearl, but my buddy suggested we try some new drinks that seemed unfamiliar to us—probably new on the menu. So, we decided to try their signature drink: Ube Latte (my buddy is a huge fan of ube!). It was sweet and delicious. Meanwhile, our other friend, who’s close to my bestie, ordered a chocolate-flavored drink. I forgot the exact name, but I think it was something like Iced Choco.

Photo Moments

After buying our drinks, we went back to the office where we work. At that point, we debated over who should hold one of the drinks for the pictures since we were taking turns taking photos. In the end, the photographer had to hold one of the drink.

On our way back to the school campus, I took some shots of my friend. The photos turned out really nice, so I asked her to take pictures of me too, and we ended up posing in similar ways.

When we got back to the campus, it was perfect timing because someone passed by. I immediately acted like I wasn’t posing and just bowed my head, pretending nothing happened.

A Visit to the Church

Later that afternoon, I spent time with my mom. Earlier that morning, she had already told me she’d be coming to Bogo to visit the church to pray, ask for guidance, and attend Mass.

At their prayer room, they handed us papers where we could write down the names of people to pray for.

From that room, you could see a beautiful view outside. Isn’t it lovely? It felt so peaceful since it wasn’t Sunday, and there weren’t too many people around.

The surroundings were clean and beautifully maintained. I really love being surrounded by greenery—it’s so calming and peaceful for the mind. What a relaxing day!
