Guacuco Beach and Chess!

¡Hola! Querida Comunidad de HIVE, les comento que los atletas de la selección de ajedrez del estado, después de tanto entrenar, les tocó otro pequeño, pero merecido descanso, compartiendo un día recreativo en Playa Guacuco de la Isla de Margarita.

Todo comenzó muy temprano en la mañana, reunidos en diferentes paradas un autobús contratado para recoger en dos paradas de la isla, una de ellas Porlamar en la plaza Bolívar a las 8:30 am y la segunda parada en la Asunción, cuya parada sería la de la plaza el Maestro a las 9:00 am.

Muy puntuales como siempre los atletas se embarcaron todos y continuamos hacia Playa Guacuco donde sería el encuentro de todos.

Al llegar a la playa comenzó la diversión, dónde los representantes se unieron a la labor de la realización de un sancocho, cada uno tenía una tarea diferente, las madres picaron las verduras mientras los más jóvenes recopilaron la leña y así los hombres mayores se encargaron de cocinar, prender el fuego y montar la olla.

Durante la mañana siguieron llegando el resto de los jóvenes y representantes, quienes se divirtieron a lo grande, jugaron cartas, el juego tradicional oriental llamado truco, voleibol, raqueta, también a la ollita un juego tradicional venezolano que consiste en que todos volean el balón y el que la deje caer se tiene que colocar sentados en el medio de los jugadores en el centro como en una olla para esperar a que solo queden dos jugadores y estos comiencen a sacar los que están sentados con un balonazo, como de costumbre también jugaron Ajedrez.

El sancocho estuvo puntual a las 12 del medio día para ser repartido justo a la hora del almuerzo, juntos compartieron la mesa en familia dónde algunos pudieron degustar y hasta repetir las porciones de las tazas de sancocho.

Ya para finalizar este hermoso encuentro uno de los niños se encontraba de cumpleaños, su representante aprovecho la oportunidad para cantarle cumpleaños y picar la torta junto a todos sus amigos del ajedrez.

Hello! Dear HIVE Community, I tell you that the athletes of the state chess team, after so much training, they had a small but fruitful break, sharing a recreational day in Playa Guacuco on Margarita Island.

It all started very early in the morning, gathered at different stops a bus hired to pick up at two stops on the island, one of them Porlamar at Plaza Bolivar at 8:30 am and the second stop in La Asuncion, whose stop would be at Plaza el Maestro at 9:00 am.

Very punctual as always, these athletes all embarked and continued to Playa Guacuco where the meeting would be for everyone.

Upon arriving at the beach the fun began, where the representatives joined in the work of making a sancocho, each one had a different task, the mothers chopped the vegetables while the younger ones gathered the firewood and so the older men were in charge of cooking, lighting the fire and assembling the pot.

During the morning the rest of the youth and representatives continued to arrive and had a great time, they played cards, the traditional oriental game called truco, volleyball, racquetball, and also "a la ollita" a traditional Venezuelan game that consists of all the players volleying the ball and the one who drops it has to sit in the middle of the players in the center of the pot to wait until only two players are left and they begin to remove the ones who are seated with a ball, as usual they also played chess.

The sancocho was on time at 12 noon to be distributed just at lunchtime, together they shared the table as a family where some could taste and repeat the portions of the cups of sancocho.

At the end of this beautiful meeting one of the boys had a birthday, his representative took the opportunity to sing birthday and cut the cake with all his chess friends.
