Celebrating my friend Ramiro's 34th Birthday (English/Spanish)

A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, especially to all those who share their beautiful moments with family and friends in this great community. This time I want to share with you a beautiful experience that I lived with my dear people, to celebrate the 34th birthday of my great friend Ramiro. A few days ago our friend had his birthday and we had the pleasure to celebrate it with a beautiful sharing among friends that turned out to be an unforgettable day for all of us.

We met at my friend Edgardo's house and gathered several of our families and close friends, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere, but above all with lots of laughter and as we say here in Venezuela "Bochinche" which could be explained as a big and fun ruckus. Music could not be missing, so we made sure to have a playlist with Ramiro's favorite songs, which created an even more special atmosphere. We listened to musical genres from our region such as: merengue campesino, salsa, cumbia and Colombian vallenato. The latter is very popular in my community.

In the small courtyard of Edgardo's house there were about 20 people, including neighbors, family and friends. The children ran around playing, the adults danced or chatted in groups. One of the parts I enjoyed the most was when we all sang happy birthday together for Ramiro. His happy and excited face said it all, and it filled our hearts with joy to see him so happy on his special day. I think all the neighbors heard us sing, because it was an incredible chorus at the top of our lungs, singing our traditional birthday songs.

After singing with all our hearts the happy birthday song, we set out to break the cake, as is the tradition. And I must say that this was the perfect finishing touch to close the celebration. The cakes were a total delight. There were two cakes, one was bought at the store and the other one was made by Edgardo's sister. Also our dear neighbor Gaudy made a delicious jelly. The laughs, hugs and pictures we took that day will be memories we will treasure.

All in all, this beautiful sharing among friends to celebrate our friend Ramiro's birthday was an incredible experience that reminded us of the importance of being surrounded by people we love and who love us. It was a day full of love, joy and gratitude, and I am sure that Ramiro took in his heart all the moments lived in this special celebration. Especially because in the last few days many families have been affected by the political differences in our country, which has been a very neuralgic issue for years. But being there and seeing everyone together, regardless of those differences, loving each other from respect and taking care of our support network regardless of political opinions seemed to me the most precious and valuable thing about that moment.

Celebrando el cumpleaños 34 de mi amigo Ramiro (Ingles/Español)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, Especialmente para todos los que comparten sus hermosos momentos en familia y con amistades en esta grandiosa comunidad. Esta vez les quiero compartir una hermosa experiencia que viví junto a mi gente querida, para celebrar el cumpleaños numero 34 de mi gran amigo Ramiro. Hace unos días nuestro amigo estuvo de cumpleaños y tuvimos el placer de celebrarlo con un hermoso compartir entre amigos que resultó ser un día inolvidable para todos nosotros.

Nos reunimos en la casa de mi amigo Edgardo y juntamos varias de nuestras familias y amigos cercanos, creando un ambiente cálido y acogedor, pero sobre todo de muchas risas y como decimos aquí en Venezuela “Bochinche” que podría explicarse como un gran y divertido alboroto. La música no podía faltar, por lo que nos aseguramos de tener una playlist con las canciones favoritas de Ramiro, lo que creó una atmósfera aún más especial. Escuchamos géneros musicales de nuestra region tales como: merengue campesino, salsa, cumbia y vallenato colombiano. Este último es muy popular en mi comunidad.

En el pequeño patio de la casa de Edgardo habíamos unas 20 personas, entre vecinos del pueblo, familia y amigos. Los niños corrían jugando, los adultos bailábamos o conversábamos en grupos. Una de las partes que más disfrute fue cuando todos juntos cantamos el cumpleaños feliz para Ramiro. Su cara de felicidad y emoción lo decía todo, y nos llenó de alegría el corazón verlo tan feliz en su día especial. Creo que todos los vecinos nos escucharon cantar, porque fue un increíble coro a todo pulmón, cantando nuestras tradicionales canciones de cumpleaños.

Después de cantar con todo nuestro corazón la canción del cumpleaños feliz, nos dispusimos a partir la torta, como suele ser la tradición. Y debo decir que este fue el broche de oro perfecto para cerrar la celebración. Pues las tortas fueron una total delicia. Había dos tortas, una que compraron en la tienda y la otra la hizo la hermana de Edgardo. También nuestra querida vecina Gaudy hizo una deliciosa gelatina. Las risas, los abrazos y las fotos que tomamos ese día serán recuerdos que atesoraremos.

En definitiva, este hermoso compartir entre amigos para celebrar el cumpleaños de nuestro amigo Ramiro fue una experiencia increíble que nos recordó la importancia de estar rodeados de personas que queremos y nos quieren. Fue un día lleno de amor, alegría y gratitud, y estoy segura de que Ramiro se llevó en su corazón todos los momentos vividos en esta celebración tan especial. Sobre todo porque en los últimos días muchas familias se han visto afectadas por las diferencias políticas de nuestro país, que ha sido un tema muy neurálgico desde hace años. Pero estar allí y ver a todos juntos, sin importar esas diferencias, queriéndonos desde el respeto y cuidando nuestra red de apoyo sin importar las opiniones políticas me pareció lo más precioso y valioso de ese momento.
