Looking Forward to Waiting for my Family at Christmas [ENG/ESP]

Christmas is approaching, and it is one of the most emotional dates for me, and it is the richest period in festivities. This begins the first days of December, and has great meaning for our family.

Christmas, particularly in my country, is a reason for family gatherings, toasts for peace and prosperity, special music, such as bonuses, bagpipes, Christmas carols and the preparation of traditional food and drinks. It is a date dedicated above all to the celebration of family, social and the most essential ties for us as a family. Being for all of us the greatest bond of love, because it is a date in which we can unite with each other, to interact, to share the love that we profess, but above all to enjoy our family time.

Above all, at this time I get very anxious, because usually we see relatives who are far away, so while we wait for them with my relatives who live in the same city as me, we agree and decorate the house with all Christmas decorations, and we take advantage of fixing the tree with all the backstage that we can, in the case of other relatives, the function of planning Christmas dinners is delegated, and New Year's Eve so we all help and collaborate.

My house dresses up for a party and is decked out in its best environment to receive my family, it is a time of flavor and celebration, I meet up with some friends, it is also a time of warmth and happiness.

This family Christmas celebration fills my house with warmth, because the union, solidarity and what each member of my family represents, their values, with their virtues and defects, is what takes over our souls.

Therefore, Christmas for us is very warm, a period of our lives closes, but we receive a new one full of hope and new dreams to fulfill, including a new meeting. As a united family that we are, because we know how to carry the party and joy in our hearts.

Motivated by the COVID pandemic, it became difficult for the family to get together, since this virus was the first protagonist of those Christmases and its shadow appeared with more force, during these celebrations, that we were not even able to meet with our close families, because it was not prudent to share with a lot of people and there were no security conditions, since the virus could be transmitted to others more vulnerable. They were very desolate, very sad days and we could not get together to celebrate Christmas and just like last year, eight members of my family, including me, caught the virus in the December season and we could not meet. The uncertainty and the negative experience of contagion with the virus created discouragement, sadness and frustration in me, since I was anxious to celebrate Christmas and the New Year as a family.

With all the positive energy that has always characterized me, this year Christmas is going to be different. We are going to meet the whole family, of course driving, measures, recommendations and being very responsible for the family reunion.

This Christmas, we will spend it as a family, with the people who saw me grow, with whom I shared my childhood and childhood, who have always supported me through thick and thin, the most important people in my life.

I know that I will celebrate with all my family, another year of blessings with lots of love, darling. Our Christmas is not about gifts, even when some detail is beautiful, but it is the opportunity to share love, to know how to be, to thank, to recognize ourselves loved and blessed.

For me it is true magic, because I will be with the ones I love the most, to celebrate that we are healthy, alive and to recognize our love for each one of us. I thank God for being united as a family for another year and I also thank God for the family that he has given me. Understanding that health, family, and love is the most important thing and is what will make these Christmas festivities so beautiful and special, because the true spirit of Christmas is lived next to those who love you. Se acerca ya la navidad, y es una de las fechas más emotivas para mí, y es el periodo más rico en festividades. Este se inicia los primeros días de diciembre, y tiene para nuestra familia un gran significado.

La navidad, muy particularmente en mi país, es motivo de encuentros familiares, brindis por la paz y la prosperidad, músicas especiales, como los aguinaldos, las gaitas, los villancicos y la preparación de comidas y bebidas tradicionales. Es una fecha consagrada sobre todo a la celebración de los vínculos familiares, social y el más primordial para nosotros en familia. Siendo para todos nosotros el lazo de amor más grande, porque es una fecha en la que nos podemos unir entre sí, para interactuar, para compartir el amor que nos profesamos, pero sobre todo disfrutar nuestro tiempo en familia.

Sobre todo, en esta época me coloco muy ansioso, porque por lo general nos vemos con parientes que están lejos, así que mientras los esperamos con mis familiares que viven en la misma ciudad que yo, nos ponemos de acuerdo y decoramos la casa con todos los adornos navideños, y aprovechamos de arreglar el árbol con todas las bambalinas que podamos, en el caso de otros familiares se le delega la función de planear las cenas de Navidad, y Fin de año así todos ayudamos y colaboramos.

Mi casa se viste de fiesta y se engalana con su mejor ambiente para recibir a mi familia, es época de sabor y festejo, me reencuentro con algunos amigos, también es época de calidez y felicidad

Esta celebración navideña familiar, llenan de calor mi casa, por cuanto la unión, la solidaridad y lo que representa cada miembro de mi familia, sus valores, con sus virtudes y defectos, es lo que se apodera de nuestras almas.

Por ello, las navidades para nosotros, es muy cálido, se cierra un periodo de nuestras vidas, pero recibimos otro nuevo lleno de esperanza y nuevos sueños por realizar, entre ellos un nuevo encuentro. Como familia unida que somos, porque sabemos llevar la fiesta y alegría en nuestros corazones.

Motivado a la pandemia por COVID, se hizo difícil el que la familia se reuniera, por cuanto a este virus fue el primer protagonista de esas navidades y la sombra de ésta apareció con más fuerza, durante éstas celebraciones, que ni siquiera, pudimos reunirnos con nuestras familias cercanas, por cuanto no era prudente compartir con mucha gente y no había condiciones de seguridad, ya que se podía transmitir el virus a otros más vulnerable. Fueron días muy desolados, muy tristes y no pudimos reunirnos a la celebración de la navidad e igual el año pasado, ocho miembros de mi familia, incluyéndome, nos contagiamos del virus en la época decembrina y no pudimos reunirnos. La incertidumbre y la experiencia negativa del contagio con el virus, crearon en mi desanimo, tristeza y frustración, puesto que estaba ansioso por celebrar las navidades y el año nuevo en familia.

Con toda la energía positiva que me ha caracterizado siempre, este año la navidad va a ser diferente. Nos vamos a reunir toda la familia, por supuesto manejando, medidas, recomendaciones y siendo muy responsables para la reunión familiar.

Esta navidad, lo pasaremos en familia, con las personas que me vieron crecer, con quienes compartí mi niñez e infancia, quienes me han apoyado siempre en las buenas y malas, las personas más importantes en mi vida.

Sé que celebrare con toda mi familia, un año más de bendiciones con mucho amor, cariño. Nuestra navidad no se trata de regalos, aun cuando es bonito algún detalle, sino es la oportunidad de compartir de amar, de saber estar, de agradecer, de reconocernos queridos y bendecidos.

Para mí es la verdadera magia, pues estaré con los que más quiero, para celebrar que estamos sanos, vivos y reconocer nuestro amor a cada uno de nosotros. Doy gracias a Dios por estar unidos en familia un año más y doy gracias también por la familia que me ha regalado. Entender que la salud, la familia, y el amor es lo más importante y es lo que hará tan bonita y especial estas festividades, navideñas, porque el verdadero espíritu de la navidad se vive al lado de quienes te aman. Deseando lo mejor hoy y siempre…
