Early morning I receive a phone call from my cousin with the voice of warm and hopeful asked me if I can be Kia's godparent?.It was not even a question. It was a joyful and Immediate yes!.Who could resist the charm of our little Kia? Our tiny human with her bright,curious eyes and a smile that could light up a room had already captured my heart.

Being asked to be a godparent felt like a special kind of honor.It was not just a title but also it was a promise.A promise to be a guide,a support, and a loving presence in Kia's life.And honestly, I couldn't wait.

10 im the morning will start the ceremony for sweet little kia's christening.Me,I am stuck in class with my textbooks and lectures running in my head.But family comes first as soon as the final subject start,I was off like a shot.

Imagine me running from our school to church it was a hoooooooh, I was catching my breath and praying I would not miss a thing. Heart pounding wit a mix of guilt and excitement as I burst through the church doors.

And guess what, 😁 Just in time! I caught the soft glow of the candles,the gentle murmur of the ceremony and the sight of Kia she was looking like an angel.It was a busy morning but seeing that precious moment? Totally worth the race.

Sometimes you just gotta run for the important things.And Kia's christening was definitely one of them.A little late but filled with love! ❤️

Seeing her in her little white and pink dress looking like a tiny angel which made my heart wave.The ceremony was beautiful and a gentle introduction into the Christian faith.As I stood beside her promising to be a good role model and a supportive presence I was felt a wave of responsibility and love wash over me.

It was more than just a ceremony but it was the start of a lifelong connection.The bond that went beyond family ties.I was now a godparent,a special kind of friend,a guide in Kia's journey.

After the ceremony,there were photos,lots of photos actually haha.We posed with Kia,her parents and the other godparents capturing the moment for kia's look back.Every click of the camera was a memory being made.

Then,it was time to celebrate.The house was filled with laughter and the delicious aroma of food especially the lechon which makes our tummy full 😁.

Ate coleen @helianthus-chloe also one of the godparents and also she made the decoration for Kia's christening,she makes our home an elegant venue who have thougth that one person can do it.

Aside from the we ate together,we talked and even we shared stories but all centered around the adorable Kia.It was a simple celebration but it was filled with warmth and love.

Being a godparent I am learning is not about grand gestures but It is about the small moments.The little things,the smiles,the hugs,the quiet moments of connection.Being a godparent is a gift and also a privilege.It is a chance to make a difference in the life of a young,innocent soul and it is also a chance to share my experiences,my wisdom and my love.And as I look at Kia with her bright,curious eyes and her infectious giggle.I know that I am ready for the journey ahead.I am ready to be her godparent,her guide and also her friend.

It is also not about being perfect but it's about being present.It's about showing up time and time again also it's about being a constant source of love and support.

I'm excited to see the amazing person Kia will become.I am excited to be a part of her life aside from that to witness her growth and to share in her joys.Being a godparent is a lifelong commitment a promise to be there always.And I'm ready to embrace that promise with open arms and a heart full of love.
