Buen martes querida colmena!! El día de hoy quiero dedicarle este post a mi sobrino Antonio que está cumpliendo 2 añitos y estoy muy felíz de poder disfrutar esta etapa de su crecimiento y desarrollo junto con mi hermana y su otro hermanito Ástor.
Como muchos ya sabrán, estuve atrapada en Uruguay por el cierre de fronteras por el COVID19 lo que imposibilitó poder viajar para mi país (Argentina) cuando nació, un 14 de febrero de 2020.
Cuando logré cruzar, llegué unos días después de haber cumplido su primer añito, por lo que tampoco pude estar en su primer fiestita y eso me puso un poco triste, porque me hubiera encantado estar acá en esa fecha.
Good Tuesday dear beehive! Today I want to dedicate this post to my nephew Antonio who is turning 2 years old and I am very happy to be able to enjoy this stage of his growth and development with my sister and his other little brother Ástor.
As many of you may already know, I was trapped in Uruguay because of the border closure due to COVID19 which made it impossible to travel to my country (Argentina) when he was born, on February 14, 2020.
When I managed to cross, I arrived a few days after his first birthday, so I could not be at his first little party and that made me a little sad, because I would have loved to be here on that date.

Pasaron algunos meses desde que llegué a mi ciudad cuando mi hermana tomó la decisión de separarse del padre de sus hijos por la violencia que sufría a diario desde que los niños nacieron, creo que haber hablado conmigo y haber visto que estuve en una situación similar y tomé el coraje de salir de dónde estaba le dió la fuerza suficiente para hacerlo.
Desde ya que no es una tarea fácil, duele entender que la persona que elegimos y nos eligió nos maltrate a tal punto de llegar a tener varios ataques de pánico en un día, y lo más difícil es que hay dos niños muy chiquitos en medio y hay que estar bien para ellos.
En ese momento fue que decidimos vivir juntas, buscar una casa y empezar de nuevo. Hoy hace ya 5 meses que estamos bajo el mismo techo los 4 y la verdad es que más allá de que siempre dije que no quería ser madre, hoy además de tía, muchas veces cumplo roles de mamá y es lo más hermoso que hay en el mundo. Poder cocinar juntos, cantar, jugar, bañarlos, hacerlos dormir, ir a la plaza y muchas otras experiencias que no hubiera podido disfrutar, hoy si puedo y me llena de orgullo y amor poder hacerlo.
It has been a few months since I arrived in my city when my sister made the decision to separate from the father of her children because of the violence she suffered daily since the children were born, I think that having talked to me and having seen that I was in a similar situation and took the courage to leave where I was gave her enough strength to do it.
Of course it is not an easy task, it hurts to understand that the person we chose and who chose us mistreats us to the point of having several panic attacks in one day, and the hardest thing is that there are two very small children in the middle and you have to be well for them.
At that moment we decided to live together, look for a house and start all over again. Today it has been 5 months that we are under the same roof, the 4 of us, and the truth is that even though I always said I did not want to be a mother, today, besides being an aunt, I often play the role of a mother, and it is the most beautiful thing in the world. Being able to cook together, sing, play, bathe them, make them sleep, go to the square and many other experiences that I would not have been able to enjoy, today I can and it fills me with pride and love to be able to do it.

Mi hermana es unos años más chica que yo, es la única hermana mujer de 5 hermanos que somos. Ella tiene una discapacidad en su espalda, la operaron cuando tenía unos 15 años de edad de ESCOLIOSIS, una desviación en su columna y tiene 2 barras de Titanio y 19 tornillos. En ese momento los médicos le dijeron que no iba a poder ser madre y eso la frustró por mucho tiempo.
Pero con el correr de los años, su recuperación fue muy buena y con la ayuda de Dios, tuvo a mis dos hermosos sobrinos y ella es la mamá más felíz del mundo por lograr eso. Su primer amor Antonio nació un 14 de febrero, Día de San Valentín o de los Enamorados como se dice en mi país, y Ástor nació un 8 de marzo, Día Internacional de la mujer. Dos tremendas fechas para recordar y festejar la vida de las personitas que nos alegran el día a día.
De Ástor les contaré más adelante, y sobre Josefina, mi otra sobrina también! Hoy me voy a centrar en hablarles de mi gordo precioso Antonio que está cumpliendo sus 2 añitos.
My sister is a few years younger than me, she is the only female sister out of 5 siblings. She has a disability in her back, she had surgery when she was about 15 years old for SCOLIOSIS, a deviation in her spine and she has 2 Titanium rods and 19 screws. At that time the doctors told her that she would not be able to be a mother and that frustrated her for a long time.
But as the years went by, her recovery was very good and with God's help, she had my two beautiful nephews and she is the happiest mom in the world for achieving that. Her first love Antonio was born on February 14th, Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day as they say in my country, and Astor was born on March 8th, International Women's Day. Two great dates to remember and celebrate the lives of the little people who brighten up our daily lives.
I will tell you more about Ástor later, and about Josefina, my other niece too! Today I am going to focus on telling you about my precious fat Antonio who is turning 2 years old.

Antonio es un niño muy alegre, tiene un espíritu libre y servicial. Le encanta copiar todo lo que su mamá y yo hacemos en la casa, como cocinar, barrer, ordenar las camas, la ropa y hacer jardinería como por ejemplo regar las plantas; siempre nos quiere ayudar con todo! Además le encanta jugar, salir a la plaza y hamacarse o subir a la calesita (carrusel) o ir a la sala de juegos del barrio y subir a los autitos con música.
Él habla muy bien, se le entiende todo lo que dice, tiene un sentido de comprensión muy alto y sabe cuando se está mandando una macana (haciendo lío), su cara de pícaro lo delata enseguida. Pero puedo decir que es un niño bueno y atento con los mayores y con otros niños; pues cuando ve a otro niño llorando va y lo abraza consolándolo, es muy tierno ver esa imagen cuando se presenta, con estos gestos nos damos cuenta de su empatía hacia los demás y eso denota que es un niño bueno.
Siempre presta atención a la música, también le gusta mucho cantar y tocar el ukelele con su mamá, lo que despierta el sentido artístico en su ser y eso me encanta. Siempre presta sus juguetes, no es un niño egoísta para nada, y siempre tiene buena predisposición para todo lo que le proponemos, es dócil y muy fácil de llevar, por ejemplo para ir a dormir con sólo decirle, él se pone el chupete y comienza a tocarse las orejas y vamos a la cama sin hacer ningún berrinche. Como digo, Antonio es una personita hermosa y vino a llenarnos de amor a toda la familia.
Antonio is a very cheerful boy, he has a free and helpful spirit. He loves to copy everything his mom and I do around the house, like cooking, sweeping, tidying the beds, laundry and gardening, for example watering the plants; he always wants to help us with everything! He also loves to play, go out to the square and swing or ride the merry-go-round or go to the playground in the neighborhood and ride the little cars with music.
He speaks very well, you can understand everything he says, he has a very high sense of understanding and he knows when he is making a mess, his mischievous face gives him away right away. But I can say that he is a good and attentive child with the adults and with other children; when he sees another child crying he goes and hugs him and comforts him, it is very tender to see that image when he shows up, with these gestures we realize his empathy towards others and that shows that he is a good child.
He always pays attention to music, he also loves to sing and play the ukulele with his mom, which awakens the artistic sense in his being and I love that. He always lends his toys, he is not a selfish child at all, and always has a good predisposition for everything we propose to him, he is docile and very easy to get along with, for example to go to sleep just by telling him, he puts the pacifier and starts touching his ears and we go to bed without any tantrum. As I say, Antonio is a beautiful little person and he came to fill the whole family with love.

Este es Antonio hoy a sus 2 añitos, es impresionante lo que ha crecido, todo lo que ha aprendido en este año desde que puedo disfrutarlo. Aprendió a caminar, a hablar más fluido, a comer solito y a aprender a querer a su hermanito, cosa que no es tan fácil para un niño de su edad.
Sinceramente me siento bendecida y orgullosa de tener un sobrino como él, que cada día que se levanta pregunta dónde está su tía Mimi y sale corriendo a mi encuentro. Que quiere que le de la leche chocolatada o la comida, que le gusta que le haga cosquillas y juguemos, siempre que se va a otro lado me cuentan que pregunta por mí o que cuenta algo que hizo conmigo y eso me llena de emoción. Y cuando le digo TE AMO, él también me responde TE AMO TÍA y es lo más hermoso que me pasó en la vida!!

This is Antonio today at 2 years old, it is impressive how much he has grown, everything he has learned in this year since I can enjoy him. He learned to walk, to speak more fluently, to eat on his own and to learn to love his little brother, which is not so easy for a child of his age.
I sincerely feel blessed and proud to have a nephew like him, who every day when he wakes up asks where his aunt Mimi is and runs to meet me. He wants me to give him chocolate milk or food, he likes me to tickle him and play with him, whenever he goes somewhere else they tell me he asks for me or tells me about something he did with me and that fills me with emotion. And when I tell him I love you, he also responds I love you aunt and it is the most beautiful thing that happened to me in life!!!
