Día de Cachapas Cacahualeras [Esp/Eng]

¡Holis! ¿Cómo se encuentran comunidad? ¿Cómo los trata la vida? hoy andamos con un paladar feliz, mi abuelos que viven en el estado Sucre nos mandaron ¡mazorcas! A esto me refiero a los delivery que quiero recibir jajaja. Ayer nos pusimos modo chefcitos, desgranamos las mazorcas, molimos los granos y dejamos la masa tranqui un par de horas, para ponernos a crear las deliciosas, fabulosas y más esperadas en el año, eso es señores ¡las cachapas!

How is the community? how is life treating you? today we have a happy palate, my grandparents who live in the state of Sucre sent us some mazorcas! This is what I mean by the deliveries I want to receive hahaha. Yesterday we got into chef mode, we shelled the corncobs, ground the grains and left the dough for a couple of hours, to start creating the delicious, fabulous and most awaited of the year, that's it gentlemen, the cachapas!

Hicimos 17 mini cachapas jajaja, fue una locura, literalmente desayunamos, almorzamos y cenamos cachapas. También merendados cachapas amigos, primera vez que no me quejo de comer tantas veces queso jajaja y comí mazorcas con mantequilla. Hoy ha sido un día de cachapas en toda su totalidad, compartimos con mi otras abuelas, porque tengo tres abuelas (dato curioso), pero solo dos viven aquí en la isla, mi hermana @emilypino por obvias razones comió ¿Verdad que estaban buenas? Jajaja.

We made 17 mini cachapas hahaha, it was crazy, we literally had cachapas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also snacked on cachapas friends, first time I don't complain about eating cheese so many times hahaha and I ate corn on the cob with butter. Today was a day of cachapas in its entirety, we shared with my other grandmothers, because I have three grandmothers (curious fact), but only two live here on the island, my sister @emilypino for obvious reasons ate them, right they were good? hahaha.

Mi parte favorita del día no fue en si comer las cachapas, si no el tiempo que pasamos riéndonos en el proceso, moler los granos fue lo más cómico, la moledora manual estaba guardada hace mucho tiempo y estaba súper oxidada y en todo el sentido literario de la palabra, llena de telarañas, toco desinfectar esa máquina.

My favourite part of the day was not actually eating the cachapas, but the time we spent laughing at the process, grinding the beans was the funniest part, the manual grinder had been in storage for a long time and was rusty and in every literary sense of the word, full of cobwebs, I had to disinfect the machine.

Cuando la masa estaba lista, es decir después de moler por unos minuto en los que fui participe. Mi mamá ya no sabía que tan necesario era hacer cachapas y ese pensamiento duro muy poco, cuando montamos la primera cachapa y ese aroma tan identificativo empezó a invadir todos los rincones de la casa, fue el momento en el que todo valió la pena y las cachapas empezaron a desaparecer, una por una JAJAJA. Hasta que se hicieron las 4 y era hora de ser buenos seres humanos y compartir, no con todo el mundo. Pero si con las personas que comparten con nosotros.

When the dough was ready, that is, after grinding for a few minutes in which I participated. My mum didn't know how necessary it was to make cachapas and that thought didn't last long, when we made the first cachapa and that so distinctive aroma began to invade every corner of the house, it was the moment when it was all worth it and the cachapas began to disappear, one by one HAHAHAHAHA. Until it was 4 o'clock and it was time to be good human beings and share, not with everyone. But with the people who share with us.

Ame este día y amo que parte de mis raíces venga de un pueblito agrario, no todos tenemos estos privilegios JAJAJA, aunque no son tan comunes estas entregan a domicilio, cuando llegan me llenan de privilegios jajaja. I love this day and I love that part of my roots come from an agrarian town, not all of us have these privileges HAHAHAHA, although they are not so common these home deliveries, when they arrive they fill me with privileges hahaha.
