Hey amigos de hive, les deseo un Feliz y bendecido año nuevo para todos, mis mejores deseos para este 2024, espero que todos la hayan pasado genial, tanto los que los que lo hicieron en familia y los que no pudieron también.
Se termino el 2023 y nos dejo muchas experiencias, tristezas, alegrías, buenas y malas noticias, pero todo es parte del aprendizaje de la vida, y tenemos que mejorar las cosas malas y cumplir todo lo que nos planteamos.

Hey hive friends, I wish you all a happy and blessed new year, my best wishes for this 2024, I hope you all had a great time, both those who did it with family and those who could not also.
The year 2023 is over and left us many experiences, sadness, joys, good and bad news, but everything is part of learning life, and we have to improve the bad things and accomplish everything we set out to do.

Para mi y mi familia el 31 fue genial, nuevamente al igual que el 24 nos toco trabajar parte del día, hasta las 10:30pm que salimos e inmediatamente volamos a casa literal, ya teníamos todo preparado para el momento de la llegada, compramos carbón y dejamos pollo, chorizo y carne para hacer en la parrilla. Y mientras mi tía y mi prima prepararon el resto de la cena para nuestra llegada.

For me and my family the 31st was great, again like the 24th we had to work part of the day, until 10:30pm we left and immediately flew home literally, we had everything ready for the moment of arrival, we bought charcoal and left chicken, sausage and meat to make on the grill. And while my aunt and cousin prepared the rest of the dinner for our arrival.

Entre las 2 y las 10:20pm estuvimos en el local trabajando, pero algo me intrigo y es que acá en este pueblito hicieron una caravana con muñecos del año viejo, los pasaron por toda la ciudad para luego quemarlos, es como una tradición para despedir el año viejo. Eso fue lo mas relevante hasta el momento de irnos a casa, por que del resto estuvimos ocupados por mucho trabajo, no me imagine que acá las personas salieran tan tarde a comer, por su puesto con sus familias, pero estaba acostumbrado que desde las 6pm nosotros en Venezuela estábamos reunidos en casa.

Between 2 and 10:20pm we were in the store working, but something intrigued me and that is that here in this small town they made a caravan with dolls of the old year, they passed them around the city and then burned them, it is like a tradition to say goodbye to the old year. That was the most relevant thing until we went home, because the rest we were busy with a lot of work, I did not imagine that here people go out so late to eat, of course with their families, but I was used to that since 6pm we in Venezuela were gathered at home.

Al llegar a casa note que todas las familias salen a la calle, hacen parrilla o comen literalmente fuera de sus casas, pero literal esto en todos lados en este pueblo, y supongo por que la seguridad acá es muy buena comparada a las ciudades grandes. Trate de grabar un poco pero no me dio tiempo, y tome fotos antes que las calles estuvieran llenas de personas.

When I got home I noticed that all the families were out on the streets, grilling or eating literally outside their houses, but literally everywhere in this town, and I guess because the security here is very good compared to the big cities. I tried to film a little but I didn't have time, and I took pictures before the streets were full of people.

Al llegar pues comenzamos a ordenar todo la parrillera y la carne, pero fue una odisea lograr encender el carbón, hasta que por fin pudimos y comenzamos a montar la carne que ya estaba sazonada.
Y como era pollo fue fácil de cocinar al igual que el chorizo, es mas era tan grande que tuvimos que hacer dos rondas de asado.

When we arrived we started to order the grill and the meat, but it was an odyssey to light the charcoal, until finally we could and we started to assemble the meat that was already seasoned.

And since it was chicken it was easy to cook as was the chorizo, it was so big that we had to do two rounds of grilling.

Creo que nos turnamos 2 veces cada uno para poder mantener ardiendo las brasas y para llevar un poco de humo cada uno jaja.

I think we took turns 2 times each to keep the coals burning and to bring a little smoke each haha.

Finalmente llego el año nuevo y aun no habíamos comido, eran las 12 y comenzaron a lanzar fuegos artificiales, pero demasiados en todos lados, sinceramente tenia años que no veía esto. Todos los vecinos salieron y comenzaron a abrazarse entre si, dar el feliz año, nosotros igual y lo hicimos después con los vecinos mas cercanos. Por su puesto ya tenia mensajes desde temprano, de primos en España, Tíos en Chile y amigos en Venezuela que ya estaban celebrando el nuevo año. Respondí todos esos mensajes justo a ser la 12 en Colombia.
Lo primero que pensé 5 min después, fue "Que estará haciendo mi mama".

Finally the new year arrived and we still had not eaten, it was 12 o'clock and they began to launch fireworks, but too many everywhere, honestly I had not seen this for years. All the neighbors came out and started hugging each other, saying happy new year, we did the same and then we did the same with the closest neighbors. Of course I already had messages from early in the morning, from cousins in Spain, Uncles in Chile and friends in Venezuela who were already celebrating the new year. I answered all those messages just at 12 o'clock in Colombia.
The first thing I thought 5 minutes later, was "What is my mom doing".

Pasadas las 12 por fin estaba lista la comida, nos sentamos en familia mi Tía hizo una oración, tomamos fotos, cantamos, bailamos, lloramos y así hasta que terminamos la jornada. Por su puesto no podía faltar comer las 12 uvas y pedir 12 deseos, y lo de salir corriendo una maleta para que el nuevo año sea de viajes no lo hicimos, pues ya estamos en otro país en realidad.

After 12 o'clock the food was finally ready, we sat down as a family, my aunt said a prayer, we took pictures, sang, danced, cried and so on until the end of the day. Of course we had to eat the 12 grapes and make 12 wishes, and we didn't do it, because we are already in another country, we had to pack a suitcase so that the new year would be full of travels.

Finalmente las fotos de recuerdo del 2023, año de muchas sorpresas y desafíos, nuevamente Feliz año para todos, prospero 2024 les deseo lo mejor y nos vemos en la próxima.
