My interest in tech started with an event called "TEENHACK" early 2019 where we were taught scratch ,that one week program was the source of my interest in tech,
after that event i started a short-lived course on web-development majorly due to the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, but the interest was there.
Fast-forward to 2024, where i was once more given Another chance to pursue my passion , And guess what this time ,it was no other institution than the organisers of the teenhack 2019 RAD5 TECH HUB , so far the journey hasn't been an easy one, but one of my favourite quotes says "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going" that and my passion for it has been my motivation , through the tough times , though the internship is still ongoing , so far i have been faced with a lot of challenges which we will explore as we go on see how i have been able to overcome them.
To start with my biggest challenge so far, was trying to understand the concepts of what am being taught ,especially the Html part of web-development as a beginner wasn't an easy one , at first it sounded so foreign to me, so i had to put in a lot of time and efforts to study documentations and take out times to watch youtube videos that explained the concept ,and with time and practice i have now gotten a hand of it, and from there i made necessary adjustments, and got better and not to forget i couldn't have done it without such a caring and understanding tutor.
One problem most developers face is time, but with the unrelenting support from my family, there was no way i would have made it this far, and that means a lot to me, as it is also a source of motivation to me, knowing that a lot of sacrifices had been made on my behalf, so i can't afford to let them down,
this is a mobile view of a website known as chowdeck we were asked to replicate so as to practice with it, this was during the first attempts
But with time this is now what i now have
Ever since i started i have been improving and it each improvement tells me that there's still more to be done. and this was not without isuues, it became posible with help from other fellow developers and my tutor,
As i have come to find out ,web-development requires one to be able to think critically to be able to solve problems and like my tutoer would always say, its not about writing the code its about understanding what you are doing, and that has proven to be true.
In all, web-development is like a hobby to me, that is among why i have been able to pull through the hard times, that has come , and will pull through those to come,
to my fellow developers i say , Love what you are doing and you'll find joy in it
