DAILY BIBLE STUDY- THE FAITHFUL GOD

King David was far from being perfect, yet he had a tender heart for God. and that became the standard for all the kings of Israel after him.

Even though the kingdom was divided after the reign of his son Solomon God promised that one day the king of kings would come through David line.

Psalm 89 verse 24-29.

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. [25] I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. [26] He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. [27] Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. [28] My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. [29] His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

To David and his limit God was both merciful and faithful, although as a result of their sin the earthly kingdom lost his glory. The davidic throne remained unbroken and restored into a more glorious reign by the enthronement of the Prince of Peace.

A study of the old testament Kings shows a mixture of both righteous and wicked men who reign after David.

They were on and off in their commitment to God. The success and the power that come with the throne brought many good kings and their kingdom down but Jesus change all of that.

He is the true servant leader whose kingdom last forever.

our confidence is this God is faithful to his word and Jesus will reign forever in righteousness.

I conclude this daily bible study by saying that human word may cast down only God was always lift.
