Seeking Wisdom - What Does the Bible Say?

I am involved in a situation where I need wisdom as to how to respond. I have been praying about it and seeking what the Bible says about asking for wisdom. I am thankful that the Bible is available to me to learn more about what God says about seeking wisdom.

Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Proverbs 3:13
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding

The Lord provides us answers when we ask him. He will give us wisdom if we ask him for it. I continue to pray that His wisdom will flow through me as I deal with this situation!

Amen, we all need to ask for wisdom. Not the wisdom of the world, but the wisdom from Heaven.

I hope you are wise enough to seek wisdom carefully. I was not, being a fool in my youth without substantial guidance, and sought wisdom in a foolish way. When I was young I prayed for God to make me a wise man, because, as you point out, that is the most admirable and useful trait ascribed to men.

My education began immediately, and I have thereafter committed the most foolish acts you can concieve - because that is how we learn wisdom, like everything else, from our mistakes. Being a fool and learning not to be a fool is learning to be wise, and God has continued to grant me opportunities to learn to be wise ever since.

Thanks!
