Psalms 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
Sacrifice is what we do or give, irrespective of what it means to us or how valuable it is at the moment.
The Almighty God calls for sacrifices of righteousness from everyone who have chosen the narrow way to life.
The sacrifice of righteousness is the giving up of self in total submission to the word of God. It is doing what God says, irrespective of how painful or depriving it is.
The sacrifice of righteousness is doing the will of God without asking questions or looking for explanations before taking the step. It is following God like a child.
Our walk with God becomes sacrificial when we no more care about how we feel or what we might lose.
Nobody can offer these sacrifices without having a total and absolute trust in God. In fact, it's our faith in God that sustains us when the storms arise.
There'll be troubles on the journey of righteousness, but you must bear in mind that God got your back.
Jesus will always come through for the righteous, for God has never forsaken the upright.
Let's pray together.
Dear righteous Father, thank you for the opportunity to give sacrifice of righteousness. Please help us to trust you absolutely, in Jesus name. Amen.
