MONEY AND SUPPORT TO CHURCHES

If you are a Christian, support your local assembly financially. Don't do so because you are told that God will bless you. No. Scripturally, it's your obligation to do so.

Secondly, one reason Christians leave their local assembly to give huge sum of money to a trending pastor or a well packaged one in some distance quarters is because of wrongly propounded doctrines circulating in our churches.

So much has been added to God's Word in our clime. You hear something like, "Here is a fertile ground to sow..." "If you sow here, you get sudden harvest..."

These unfounded theorems and baseless talks is responsible for the greed in our people. People no longer feel obligated to their local assembly except they are assured of a multiple effect on their money.

I have heard stories of how people took bags of money to Canaan Land, meanwhile their church assembly and pastor need it more.

This greed in Christians are fueled by wrong teachings.

Also, some preachers as well have used all kind of gimmicks on Christians to milk funds from them.

This whole thing is a mix of greed and poor ethical culture in our church system here.

People here are not aware that ministry is a life of service and sacrifice. It's not where you make it. So money should not be a motivation to it.

Let's be decent in how we go about this issue of money. It has really messed up so many things.
