El viernes pasado fue un día inspirador para nuestra comunidad. El grupo de calistenia, Olympus Calistenia, al que pertenezco tuvo el honor de realizar una presentación en un colegio cercano, con el objetivo de fomentar la actividad física entre los jóvenes. La calistenia, más que un deporte, es una pasión que compartimos y que, con su simplicidad y accesibilidad, permite a cualquiera comenzar su viaje hacia un estilo de vida más activo y saludable.
Last Friday was an inspiring day for our community. The calisthenics group I belong to, Olympus Calisthenics, had the honor of performing a presentation at a nearby school, with the goal of promoting physical activity among the youth. Calisthenics is more than a sport; it’s a passion we share that, with its simplicity and accessibility, allows anyone to begin their journey towards a more active and healthy lifestyle.
Nuestros ejercicios demostraron que con el peso del propio cuerpo y una barra, se pueden lograr maravillas. Los estudiantes observaron con asombro cómo la fuerza, la flexibilidad y la resistencia se entrelazan en este arte del movimiento. Al final de la presentación, muchos expresaron su entusiasmo por empezar a practicar, y eso, para nosotros, ya es una victoria. La calistenia no solo construye músculos, sino también comunidades más fuertes y unidas. ¡Anímate a compartir este deporte y sé parte de este cambio positivo!
Our exercises demonstrated that with the weight of our own bodies and a bar, wonders can be achieved. The students observed in astonishment how strength, flexibility, and endurance intertwine in this art of movement. At the end of the presentation, many expressed their enthusiasm to start practicing, and for us, that is already a victory. Calisthenics not only builds muscles but also stronger and more united communities. Dare to share this sport and be part of this positive change!
