The chemical in question, 1,4-dioxane, "may cause damage to the central nervous system, liver and kidneys," and is, "classified by the IARC as a Group 2B carcinogen: possibly carcinogenic to humans because it is a known carcinogen in other animals." It ain't good, but let's be careful with hyperbole. I can't help but notice how government water monopolies seem to be doing the exact kind of sketchy thinks the socialists insist "unregulated private companies" would do in a free market.
