Yes definitely you should reach out to her! Nothing wrong with trying. To err is human, to forgive is divine or so they say. We all make mistakes and trying to make amends is the best thing we could all do.

I am sorry to hear what you had to go through. Surely it wasn't easy but if you could both patch things up now or in the future and revitalize your marriage I'd certainly be happy for your family.
