Hello everyone. I hope you all are fine today. I am going to share my thoughts about peace in the times of war. I don't know if there have been any blogs about the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan, but I am going to share my thoughts about that.
Pakistan and India have been in conflict and clash since nineteen forty-seven, or maybe before that. There have been times of peace and there have been times of conflict and war. There have been people who support war on both sides of the border, and there are people who promote peace on both sides of the border.
We all are humans, and we should not be turned cold enough to celebrate death on either side of the border. If I begin to think that the modern-day world is facing so many brutal conflicts and wars, I ponder over the history of humankind. We have lived for billions of years, and only, I have read somewhere, that around two hundred sixty or two hundred seventy years of human history are free of any sort of war and conflict, which shows that aggressiveness and war and brutality are in human nature, as a political scientist says that the state of nature is brutish.
But we have to remember that peace and unity are also in human values and qualities and attributes that humanity has to hold on to. Thankfully, the conflict between Pakistan and India did not result in so many casualties or any damage to the infrastructure, but the trauma that both countries went through is a very visible effect of how brutal war can be.
This is why, even though I am a proud Pakistani and I am a patriot, I love my country, but I will never support war. I personally believe that war is the biggest human tragedy. I was so relieved and so grateful that the American president mediated and put an end to the conflict.
