Have you seen the trending page lately? Or maybe it's always been like this I don't know, what I do know is that good content creators eventually leave to greener pastures.
You might say "their loss", but we all know that it's ours, it's not the first war, and I lost a good bunch of amazing creators during the last wars since 2017. They just never came back, and it's totally understandable.
What about the veterans? Where do they go when the war is over? (I am still speaking in metaphors hahah)
I don't know where those greener pastures are. hahaha but if they are doing well? good on them! lol
they should tell us all so that we can post here AND there! lololol
and I guess I realize that when you go into the world and try to get paid for your content....and then you see that it pays VERY low ...and then you come back here and see that people are basically giving you free money ...lololol

Is it really free though? The time spent writing posts, interacting with others, it's time that could be spent making money. I know money isn't everything, and it's more about the experience & the interactions, but I can't help to think that the greater the skill, the bigger the payout should be, that would be the logical step toward increasing production value, at least on hive.
At the same time, I was mentioining this not so long ago, this proof of work & proof of stake concept working hand in hand has never been done before, so we don't have anything to compare with. We're experimenting a lot.

For me? I've worked the boring 9-5 job. Yes it is a steady paycheck - but what it costs me? Is my soul. LOL
I have been so sucked dry by the banality of the typical life of an employee. It's such a rat race. Creativity is not rewarded. It's chastised and everything comes down to trading minutes of your life to be plugged into the matrix. Any matrix!
but that is so NOT my preference.
I would rather be here (or writing for myself) and enjoying myself as long as I can afford to. Because at the end of my life - I don't think I'll be regretting that I didn't make more money for some corporation. I'll be regretting that I didn't own more of my own time to do with it as I wished.
For now? I'm doing that... and it just happens to be on Hive. hehe
But i do agree... the more creative and entertaining that your posts are - the more potential you should have for making money
However - there is no one that you work for here... lol
YOu have to sell your posts, and hope that you work efficiently enough to catch some nice rewards. or... network and build up the right auto-votes over time.
