MY RETURN TO HIVE

Last year, I really understood the hustle and bustle of life. For a while, I forgot one of my hobbies - writing, and that hive had given me the space to pursue that hobby. I just wanted to sleep after work because I had very little time to myself.

Also, 2023 introduced me to another hobby - sleeping, I never knew sleeping could become a hobby. Maybe it was because I was always tired at the end of the day and all I could think about was sleeping. The funny thing is, when we were kids, we were forced to take naps, but now our bodies take naps without prior warning.

It's a new year. Regardless of the fact that work stress does not go away, and mental or physical stress increases depending on the stage of development, I would also like to revive the hobby of writing. I needed to start somewhere which is why I'm writing again.

First of all, there's one thing I've learned over the past few months, which is that change is constant. That's something I always knew, but learning it through experience changed my entire view of life.

For example, if someone had told me that the stress of work or how inconvenient my schedule can be, would make me give up my hobby of writing, I would have argued, but that's exactly what happened. This taught me that you should never say that something you haven't experienced will never happen till you’ve been in that situation.

Additionally, I have learned to put myself first, set boundaries, and become less tolerant of certain situations and people who have little or nothing to offer and only prefer to be on the receiving end rather than let it be a mutual benefit relationship or friendship.
Yes, I've lost some friends because of this decision, but I'd rather not lie to myself than pretend to always agree with something or to someone.

Unfortunately, I have more responsibilities and less time, so I don't go out as often as I used to.That's why I'd rather order takeout, sleep in, and just relax with my roommate who is also my best friend than go out. This made us developed a deeper bond and stronger connection. We had an inside joke that we were always on a date with our bed because it was our buddy and all we could think about after work was sleeping in it.

With the level of connection between us,my best friend, who introduced me to Hive and also knew how much I loved writing, managed to convince me to pick writing again. I was skeptical. This is mainly because my schedule had changed so much since I started writing with Hive that I didn't know how to incorporate it into my daily life. After much consideration, I decided to give it a try and here we are.

I actually miss the connections I had, where I could write down my feelings and people here could relate to it. I hope to feel that way again. I'm back and hope I have a better and more enjoyable experience.

Thank you for stopping by❤️

Welcome back to Hive! 🥳 It's a good thing you have a friend who pushes you towards better things. Sometimes, all we need is a push to do what we love. If writing is what you love, pursue it and don't give up on it. Of course, you're a busy person, but we can always make time for the things we love. Your friends on Hive would love to read your blog, so don't give up.

Thank you so much for taking your time to stop by and read through. And yes, I do have a great friend ☺️

Ohh just like you forgot one of your hobbies, so also I forgot mine, but I've promised myself to fully return back to #hive this year, I have really missed the day to day activities; insight, motivation, encouragement e.t.c here on hive
