Great almost start to the weekend.

Is there an act of kindness that you have witnessed in your life that has always stuck with you?
Tell us about it!

Every day is a new learning, a new life. Every day situations arise that sometimes go unnoticed by those who live them or do not give them importance, it may happen that their level of consciousness does not yet allow them to feel that thread of learning that is given to them in relation to kindness to us or to a specific person.

About 25 years ago I had an experience with a friend, I am a friend of few friends, but she won my friendship and I was there for her whenever she needed me.

My financial situation was always flush, fortnight after fortnight I used it for the indispensable, food expenses, one or another service, something for urban and extra-urban tickets because at that time I was doing professional studies in an extension of the Central University of Venezuela in a Nucleus that worked in Ciudad Bolivar, Bolivar state.

This system of studies was called EUS ( Supervised University Studies of the UCV)...we traveled every week, semester after semester (weekends), practically with the round trip ticket and a small bottle of water, so we spent a few years, until the time came to finish the academic load, internships, thesis presentation. Everything was approved, the only thing missing was the paperwork for the graduation ceremony in Caracas / Venezuela.

My friend Lulu (for the purposes of this post) was in charge of traveling to Caracas and take my papers to enter the nearest graduation ceremony, mobilizing for me was a bit cumbersome because my children were still small and I had to ask for help in the week of the graduation ceremony.

Everything went well, I got on the list for the graduation ceremony. While waiting as best I could and through small gifts of money from my siblings I was able to scrape together and buy some shoes, pants and blouse according to the activity I was going to. In reality I could not afford a more formal suit for the main event such as the imposition of medals, signing of the degree certificate, receiving the degree. I thought, I will wear the same trousers and blouse, I will be dressed in the toga upstairs and my clothes will be in the background.

Well, Lulu invited me to her house, she took out her dresses without me telling her what I was going to wear or what I was going to do. She showed me a new one, new without her wearing it, and without saying a word she told me: wear this one, you deserve it... for all the effort of all these years, in spite of everything we went through.

At first, I thought it was an abuse and then I took her word for it...I thought if she is presenting me with this scenario it is because God wants it that way and through her God wants it to be that way.

To this day, that moment, that day, that year has not been erased from my mind and will not be erased because it was such a selfless action that I will never forget it.

That was a really kind gesture, one that came from a good place. It is really heartwarming to be thought of and considered in such a kind manner because it doesn't happen often.

That's how it is

Such kindness you don't get to see everyday. We all should learn to show a little bit of kindness to the people around us.

It is very rare to find detached people

That was so kind of Lulu. Not many people will even think of giving their clothes to someone than to give brand new ones out. I understand why you’d never forget that action because if I were you, I definitely wouldn’t forget too.

Yes, I never forget him and whenever he needs me I am there.
Thank you

That was a great kindness from a great friend that valued all your efforts and support to her when she needed them. Many would have forgotten everything and rewarded negatively.

That's right

Thank you.
