It has been a couple of weeks already that the writer has been pondering upon things that have been continuously bringing a crashing feeling to his chest. Apologies ahead of time for the inconsistency of the writings because of his heavy thoughts and aching heart. Anyway, let’s move forward. It has always been circling in his mind what brought him into this situation right now and what it is trying to teach him. Was this solely because of his actions, or were there also other factors that revolved around it that made everything worse? The writer wanted to figure things out before his feelings swallowed him completely and eventually hit rock bottom.
As part of human frailty, one cannot assure himself of being in control of his own feelings at all times. There are times that these emotions will devour our own logical thinking and instantly dwell on our subjective feelings. Which will surely lead to ill words, stupid actions, etc. However, the aftereffects of such events are irreversible and blunt. Sadly, not everyone has the courage to stand up and do something after the chaos they have brought. It is truly painful that, because of this particular imperfection, it has caused many inconveniences and broken many relationships along the way. What’s worse is that this sickening Jiminy Cricket effect is uncontrollable and does not limit its radius to oneself but also to your surroundings.
The anomaly of such an irrational act only brings disastrous outcomes. There are people who are eager and strong-willed to commit such acts but are very afraid to take them back when proven the fallacy of their stand. The audacity of using courage falsely while bailing out when the rightful time comes to prove their claim is very ridiculous. The rumors they spread are like wildfire being shared, but when these rumors they spread are asked to be proven, no amount of truthfulness surfaces. Nevertheless, who are you to change them or let them know how shallow-minded they are? It is even surprising, actually, that these people think that they know better than those who are directly involved.
Cheers to everyone’s silent battles! The writer acknowledges how hard it is to share and open up everything. The writer also knows how difficult it is to prove something to someone who is already biased and close-minded. It is saddening as well that there are people who count sheep more than the blessings or good things you’ve done. The level of appreciation and satisfaction does not matter if the receiver itself is not genuinely happy with it.
By now, the writer is clinging to time and fate. Time because he believes that with time everything subsides and heals. The window it brings for contemplation and reflection will help heal individuals and assess the situation more. In addition, he lets fate play its role between them, hoping that someday, after these broken bridges are restored, so will their relationship. For now, the only certainty that the writer holds are the strong feelings they have for each other. They are in love, but not anymore together.
